I've been using the T3A T245 for a year now and it's all been working right. Only issue is that if you somehow ground the tip to any ground that isn't the station's, or insert it improperly, it starts glowing red hot as it heats up to center-of-a-star temperatures. That has ruined a tip for me, waiting on a tip tinner so I can try to resurrect it.

I have to say I like the Aixun tools. I recently purchased the Aixun iHeater Pro for all Iphone models from X to Iphone 13 pro max for only £168 UK pounds, and it really works a treat. Very impressed with this soldering iron too, seems to be doing the job just fine. I too use Hako and still have it, but changed to Sugon T26 which is another great unit, which is another cheaper unit. Aixum seem to be very good, so lets hope they have longevity too. Thanks for the Video Jesse.

I use the T3B C115 & C210 pencil with great results. You definitely want to get genuine JBC tips and you will see a noticeable difference it how well the heat transfer is. I work on laptop and tablets on a daily basis. I also have a JABE UD1200 with the JBC C245 handle and tips. I purchased these a few years ago when I was on a budget and since they all work so well I have never needed to upgrade to the " HIGH END MODELS ". I don't really see a need for it. I even purchased the JBC C115 pencil holder to hang my C115 pencil instead of putting it in the T3B holder. You have to do a slight modification but it works really well.

JBC tips have deferent resistance (about ~1ohm less from the Aixun provided) in the tip and you have to recalibrate the station to offset the temp difference.

@@VCCBoardRepairs I wish Aixun would provide for both T3A and T3B more ouf of tips (Aixun branded) there is a plethora from other fendros for T245 but for T210 tip only the 3 types that came with the station are available :( Original JBC tips looks like they are working ok, but at a premium higher price.

I've been eyeing this station for a while. Currently using a KSGER t12 station with an aluminum handle along with a weller 1010na. Both are good but I love tools lol. You may have convinced me to pull the trigger. Nice review thx. Also, I think the curved tip is not meant to solder with the tip, you are supposed to hold the elbow down and hold a blob of solder on the elbow and drag solder over contacts. works great that way.
@VCCBoardRepairs2 жыл бұрын
Yes, I've tried using the "elbow" of the curved tip & still nothing. I normally use the J tip for my Hakko and know very well how to use it. Maybe I just have a bad J tip for this T210 handle.

You can upgrade the firmware via computer as well and also customize screen with aixun software! :) I might order this one. Looking for a soldering station that are kinda allround. Some generic PCB through hole soldering, and cables and plugs and stuff. 100-200 euro i think would suite me. No everyday use. Just time to time. Using a Velleman VTSS30 today. Really old and outdated. Theres no accessories for it. But shipping here to Sweden seems to always be expensive from many places. Sometimes the shipping costs same as the product or twice as much so it wont be worth it :)

Hey Jesse! I had a question about this station. I've heard the T210 handle is capable of accepting legit JBC tips. I was also wondering if the station itself could interface with a legit JBC holder and handpiece? I've already ordered one of these stations as I need to teach my new coworker how to tackle a lot of this soldering stuff, and I figure he can learn on the FM-202 while I use the AiXun. But the issues you pointed out with the holder do sound quite frustrating, so I was wondering if using a legit JBC holder would also work?

@@VCCBoardRepairs Thank you! As an added note, it looks like they may have resolved the tip cleaner issue on newer iterations of the T3B. I just got mine, and the whole tip cleaner is sitting quite firmly in the handpiece cradle. It's still removable of course, but it doesn't at all pop up like yours seems to in this video while cleaning. I am very pleased with the station, and the fact the handpieces work with legitimate JBC tips is awesome. This is a very good station for the price! My one and only complaint is the foam grips! These suckers were an absolute PAIN to get installed on the handpiece. I feel the whole process would have been MUCH easier if the handpiece were slightly altered and featured a fully removable cable on the handpiece itself. I kept thinking "man, if I could slide this UP the handpiece, it would be a lot easier."
