An easier way to hang a picture/artwork/etc. is to trace the shape onto a piece of paper and cut it out, making sure to note on the paper where the picture-hanging-claw-things/holes are on the back, then use low-tack tape [washi or painter's tape] to tape the shape to the wall. You can move the paper around until you get it positioned how you like, then lightly nail right through the correct spot on the paper, remove the paper and tape, finish hammering in the nail, and voila, you can hang your stuff in just the right place.

Chocolate chip banana oat cookies!!!! 2 ripened bananas, 1 cup rolled oats (best results if you chop them in a food processor for a few secs first), add chocolate chips. Bake at 350 for 15 min SOOOOO GOOD

My mom always told me never to keep food inside a can. Idk why, something about the inside of the can that’s not good for u? It sounds crazy but I’m always scared to keep food in cans in the fridge, I always transfer them to a Rubbermaid or throw it away instead of storing it in the can in the fridge. Am I the only one who was always told that?

My mom told me this too. She used to be a restaurant manager and said the metal in the can will leech off into the food and can spoil quicker. Not sure of the truth in this, but I have always listened to her.

The inside of metal cans are coated with a sealant made of plastic or varnish that is designed to keep the food safe from the metal leaching into it while it sits on the shelf. The problem is that these sealants can begin to oxidize and break down once the can is opened and the inside is exposed to air, causing some of the sealant and/or the metal to start leaching into the food. People with very sensitive palates can taste the difference. So once you open the can, you should move the food into another container for storage to be safe. There have been some recent studies suggesting that some chemicals can leach into the food even before the can is opened (like BPA for instance) so there is research being done to find even safer sealants. (I was told this by a food chemist.)

I always use Xanthan gum in my gluten-free recipes. It can be used as a thickening/binding ingredient. I have celiacs disease so i make GF recipes al the time

When i worked at a tanning salon (many years ago) we would use stridex alcohol pads to remove mistakes from spray tans. Idk if that would help.

I make vegan carrot cake for my boyfriends birthday every year because he loves carrot cake, but can't eat any milk product due to allergies. The best recipe I've found yet is one that calls for crushed pineapple... There are several recipes online for the cake, but I've only seen one with pineapple. You don't taste the pineapple, though. And for the cream cheese frosting, you use a vegan cream cheese - I like the tofutti one and Kroger has another one that they carry that I think is one of their own brands but it's good too.

Have you tried nutritional yeast? I eat it on just about anything/everything savory. It adds a cheesy flavor, plus it's...nutritious, ha. I've been a super lazy cook lately. I cook a big pot of rice and beans with whatever veggies and seasoning I'm in the mood for and then eat the leftovers for lunch the rest of the week. I add a heaping spoon of nutritional yeast when I microwave it, so good! They sell it at TJ's but I usually buy Anthony's on Amazon, it's fortified with more goodness.

😕 I crave cheesecake factory salads, but I live in Australia and not coming to the US anytime soon. 😕. Windex window spray helps to remove the tan gradually so you don’t loose it all. Spray wait ten then wipe off, then repeat until you get the shade you like.

Omg girl. A really good self tanner for someone that is light skin is Isle of Paradise. It’s is vegan and it doesn’t make your hands look too crazy. Or dry your skin all out. That was one of my problems with other self tanners. And it fades nicely with no ugly patches. Sephora is the place to get it.
