Under $5 Adjustable Hook And Scroll Bending Jig Using Sockets

In this video I make a simple adjustable hook and scroll bending jig using sockets, 3/8th bar stock, and 3/8th by 1/2in bar.
Materials I used: 3/8 bar stock. 8in total
3/8 x 1/2 bar 4in total
one 4in 1/4in Bolt
Assortment of Sockets

Great job on the video Drew! Thanks for making it. This looks useful. For me, it's less often that I have to ben rods, and far more often that I have to bend whole sheets of metal. Right now I have a 1/8 sheet of aluminum in which I have to figure out how to do a straight 90 degree bend.

Thank you. If you need to bend flat metal, Try searching for homemade sheet metal break. I’ve seen a few videos on how to make a sheet metal break, and there are a few really easy ways to do it.

Thats awesome. lol, I don't like welding either. Thats on reason why I like this jig. Also even if you did weld, you'd have to make a new jig for each hook.

nice - I"ll probably give this idea a go myself - s-hooks I was making were getting all marked up on the inside from bending over edge of the anvil.
