I totally see the success of this midsole and outsole set-up. I once used my Nike free running shoes on a dusty painted court after a morning run and the traction was far better than my other rubber outsole shoe. Not phenomenal but surprisingly good on a super dusty court.

The Best shoe reviewer out there and it's not even close. Take my word for it Zach. You are the best. I'm definitely getting these shoes soon before they are a team order pair(can't wait).. I coach basketball & we are UA sponsored.

Super comfortable, quiet with great perception of bounce compression-but on a typical dusty dirty indoor court - very slippy! Wore outside to ‘break in’ scuff the bottom to see if it helps improve traction. Bottom line - Unless your school court is dusted and cleaned regularly-this may not be the shoe for you. Spit & Hairspray helps……
@FootDoctorZach3 жыл бұрын
Ive never tried hairspray but that would be an interesting video

A bit of feedback from this shoe, hope it helps others, and even designers : Switching from Hyperdunk 2018 to this and I don't really like it: The sole is not grippy on most floors i'm playing on and it really hurts my ankles after BBall sessions because of the unusual movement I'm starting to make to adapt . It's not THAT bad but definitely a downgrade from my previous shoes. The width is cool because of my palmed feets but I really dislike the grip, which is something I wasnt aware of when trying the shoe at the store (it's very comfortable for everything else though)
@FootDoctorZach3 жыл бұрын
I found it was grippier outdoors than in- I’m interested to see if they tacked them up for the Curry 9
@Thibmac493 жыл бұрын
@@FootDoctorZach Yeah I really thought for a moment I just bought some outdoor shoes. The floor I'm usually playing in not actual wood floor like any court in NBA / US, and it can gather a bit of dust underneath which could explain the not so good grip. It's still only the first sessions I'm playing, the overall comfort is really good too so I hope I will be able to adapt playing with a bit of oversteer :D It's only annoying on quick direction changes

I have one of this shoes and I am comfortable using it in basketball, running and wearing for outdoor and indoor used. This is great and I like the quality and durability of it.

Is this worth trying for outdoor hard tennis? Currently use Vapor Pro & nothing else works for me (gp turbo was ok but clunky). I’m always looking for more cushioning - is this worth trying?
@fishbball26303 жыл бұрын
These are not durable so no. The whole flow gimmick is that the traction pattern is directly etched into the foam. Soft foam will not last on the outdoor surface. These are solely made for indoor play.
@SchittsFrozn3 жыл бұрын
He did a video on the New Balance 996v4.5 and said they were really comfortable.

Unless you’re ok with buying new shoes every 6-8 weeks I’d say not- they play GREAT and flow is a cool technology but it just may hurt your wallet for outdoor play
@teng0292 жыл бұрын
It took me a bit to get used to it, but I am a big fan of Flow. So much so that I bought pretty much every Flow based model UA makes. I'm waiting on my FUTR X, which I should arrive next week.

I really like this shoe. I tried curry’s shoe in store, extremely comfortable, but the future x seems more protective, with a bigger lateral flange and that plastic piece in the side. Waiting for them to release in my country

I've heard that this is a decent cross fit/gym shoe, because of the nature of flow foam, not compressing and bottoming out so much, that squats feel pretty good in them apparently as well as single leg split squats and that kinda squat exercises...

Hi Zach, Thank you for your impressive work. Would you still not recommend this model flow futr x for a 12 years old point guard with flat feet even with replacing the soles with customized/ personnalized soles? If not recommended, which type of basketball shoes would you recommend for flat feet please? Harden V3 ? Kobe shoes? Nike precision 4? Adidas Explosive low or Mad Bounce? Thanks in advance for advices Cheers from Spain

do custom orthotics help with the shoe pronating by itself?
