Lee...vous lisez rapelle de mon grand pere qui est ne dans le departement du Finistere en France et est alle avec ma grand mere a mettre un restaurant et des Asturies a Oviedo en 1921 et a joue a l'accordeon musique Francaise si belle. Mon grand pere jouait de l'accordeon est pas aussi bon que vous, mais il est sorti assez bien en tant qu'amateur et a joue dans le restaurant et a attire beaucoup de gens. Miy quand je suis enfant, je me souviens que ce audience jouer dans les annes 1960 dans les Asturies ou ma grand mere et mon grand pere, lire, sa musique est fantastique. Grace...

Back in the 60's and 70's I performed taught accordion in Southern California. When the accordion lost popularity I put my accordion in the closet and took a real job. I am now retired and at age 75 am playing music on U Tube and having a lot of fun.

When my Mom and I were in Paris (1991), we got on the Metro and there was a fellow playing the accordion in our car... we didn't want to get off at our stop... he was really good, too!

We had an accordion player on the Metro play the first song when we were in Paris last month. Everytime I hear this, it takes me back. Hemingway was right, Paris is truly a movable feast. Thanks for posting this.

I am American but half French and my daughter and I visited Paris in October 2013 renting an apartment in Montmartre near the steppes. I felt that "this is where I was meant to live" after just 1 day there. "Under Paris Skies" is one of my favorite songs of all time. When my daughter and I were on the Metro, there was a lady with her cute doggie in her lap and next to her was a guy singing Parisian songs. Ahh, Paris! It stole my heart. Can't wait to go back and people watch at the Closerie des Lilas and walk Paris' beautiful streets. "A Moveable Feast" is one of my favorite books - I bought a copy for my daughter and she loved it, too!
