Haha yes! Not only do they look ridiculous, they're also a sticky, stretchy, flabby nightmare to play. The sounds quite nice and warm, but I think I'd sacrifice that for a bit more string tension, so I'll be switching to flat wounds soon, I think... Thank you so much for the kind words, so glad you enjoyed this - we sort of assumed many of the people who found us via the looping podcast would drift off once they realised how much we're focussing on acoustic stuff atm, so it means a lot that you're enjoying the stuff :) xx

And it's a damn sight easier than lugging a double bass around :) Yeah, I found you through JP and your looped stuff is amazing, but I find myself responding more to the straight acoustic covers (and I love your originals… more please!) I use a looper myself, primarily to add chorus harmonies to unaccompanied folk songs and for a couple of more arranged pieces, but my first love will always be straightforward acoustic performance.
