I am 64 and aged 14 to 16 used to go crabbing around the pylons of the pier, before going fishing on the pier with soft back and peeler crabs. I can't ever remember a low tide that went that far out. Was that a significant low tide?

awsome vid,im going fishing in southend on friday,the last time i went 2 months ago we caught f all dispite having all the gear you could imagine,we were on the pier.could you advise me were and what rig and bait i shud use to have a better chance of catching at least something,i just dont wanna go home again without even a nibble

Presume pier area is a good fish nursery as pier offers some protection from predators and current Noticed when my sailing cruiser in marina andvwas due be bottom cleaned and anti fouled how much marine life lived in the weed attached to the boat...
