With the rise of blading podcasts we discovered that most bladers are pretty clueless with nothing interesting to say, Eugene is definitely on the other side of the spectrum, I love listening to him speaking about anything related to rollerblading.

I think “most” is unfair. I will grant you that some exceptional skaters don’t have a lot to say for themselves, but I wouldn’t say most.

Wow, really interesting video. It's really cool to see how a pro skater is influenced by others over time in all aspects of their skating from the tricks, the mindset and even the clothing. I really enjoyed seeing how each of those skaters made an impact on Eugen and I can see just by watching those clips how they really influenced his style. I hadn't even heard of those skaters aside from Sagona, Austin and Wilson. Really cool to learn about them as well. Definitely enjoyed the style of this video, please do more!

I need to watch this a few more times, things make a lot more sense now. There is one other thing that would make an interesting series: I wanna hear Eugen critique his raw clips, he has super high standards and I would be curious to know why he didn't like a certain landings for example.

Really cool idea…totally forgot how good Jochen Smuda and Rian Arnold were, and Zaitsev was an unreal talent🙏 Enin strikes me as a very thoughtful, interesting person…unrelated note, any time that anyone buys a new pair of Xsjado/Shadow style skates, he gets a little taste of it. That’s a pretty cool little “island” to be on…I mean, every other boot mold, there’s either multiple different pro models, and/or multiple different “team” models (for instance, no skaters aside from Shima have made $ off a Cult sale in what, 15 years?)

Eugen is my all time favorite skater, and being able to gain this insight into the unbelievable level of consideration he gives to his skating, his regard for blade history, and his unprecedented contribution to the current state of blading is amazing🤝
