Hi Kuga. You should check out Manchester if you're still in the UK. The first ever proper railway station in the world is still there. It's called Liverpool Street Station and it's part of the Museum of Science and Industry. You can get the tram - or Metro Link as it's called - to Deansgate and it's a short walk from there. Happy Travels :)

Looked more like couscous to me, isn’t bulgur a bit larger grains? Couscous is very fine grains like in the video. Either way, think they’re similar in how they’re used a lot of the time, and both are nice

Oh... this station brought back so many memories. I got to go here for a trip and rode this very same train from London to Paris. I remember I didn't feel well. I was tired, my pain was flaring up again, but I saw this station and my breath was stolen straight from my lungs. I felt like I'd stepped into a piece of living art. I'm grateful that I get to experience this memory again, and I hope you enjoy London!

Had the same thing happen on LNER from Kings Cross to Edinburgh. I had paid an arm and leg for first class tickets for my wife and I. After being pushed everywhere by a pissed off crowd for 2 hours we were barely able to get on the last car where we had to stand almost the whole way. Someone else enjoyed our First Class seats.

Hello Kuga, great and accurate video. Eurostar is generally reliable but things can go wrong. Problem is that each Siemens unit can accommodate almost 900 passengers so when there's a delay the queues soon build up. Paris Nord is especially crowded and there have been some really horrible congestion there over the years.

Most folk in the UK at least, use the French name Arc de Triomphe, and would call the road around it a roundabout, not criticising just saying. Loving this series BTW, I live in Glasgow and I saw you tease the Caledonia Sleep in part 1 of this series, it's great that you got out of London, at lot of tourists make it no further than London.

I recommend booking tickets online and well in advance for european trains, most of them are on dynamic pricing so you get cheaper fares that way and you can usually pick your seat on a coach layout too. You got some bad luck there with a train being canceled and causing a chain reaction of confusion, I don't think that happens very often. The trains are great, comfy, smooth, fast, everything you want :D

It's possible that some of the Standard/Business Premier passengers on earlier trains accepted a downgrade (and maybe a partial rebate) to keep their departure time, which would explain why the Premier section on your service was not 100% full. (I say possible because I don't have inside knowledge as to what Eurostar do in a crisis, this is just a guess on my part.)

The town i live in is well connected to the Eurostar, and I have been to Paris a few times by train. Once my family went on a special deal where the business premium seats were cheaper than standard. we had no idea they included "free" food, so we started eating sandwiches we had prepared before the trip, and then the food was brought out! and sorry for the long queue. Now that the UK is no longer part of the EU, all of us clogg up the already busy International passport lines :( So glad you continued your Journey into Scotland. It is breathtakingly beautiful, and not enough tourists know its secrets
@alexmcwhirter6611
@alexmcwhirter6611 Жыл бұрын
The seats were cheaper because reservations systems *can* be slow to update. It's the same for UK rail where first class Advance can , occasionally, cost less than its standard class equivalent.

How awesome to get no one across from you. I’ve found paying for the higher class on rail over there is quite cheap when you compare the exchange rate.
