You are so right. I brought my bible to the hospital. My mom was sleeping so I thought I’d do an online sermon/teaching. My Bible was on her bed when the nurse walked in to check her vitals. Sure enough, she looked at my Bible. It opens up so many conversations. Buy a small Bible, a travel bible and take it with you wherever you go. I was shocked when I saw a Pentecostal Paster visiting my Mom. I asked, is that your Bible? His answer was no, it’s brochures and notes. My heart dropped! Lord have mercy on our souls.

I love carrying my Bible but I'm getting older, have autoimmune issues, back pain, all over body pain, I've had frozen shoulder multiple times and I'm still recovering from a misdiagnosed ruptured appendix and resulting bowel resection. I'm sorry but i don't even carry my purse to church anymore. If it didn't cause pain, I'd absolutely carry my Bible.

I carry my Bible everywhere I go now! Because for one thing, I am still not good at quoting verses or sure where everything is I am seeking the Lord with, and am not good with cellphone technology and dont want phone calls coming in while Im in church or anywhere in public; and as I found a really neat Turquoise hand tooled faux leather suitcase-like zippered BIBLE tote at a PILOT of all places off I-70 & highway 13 near Higginsville, Missouri, that also came in several other colors including Purple with different Bible Scriptures in the hand tooling on the cover! Plus I can place both my KJV and NIV Bibles inside it at the same time! I'm still praising the Lord I found this Bible tote majing taking the Lord with me everywhere I go that much easier and invites conversation too! Who knew? Im 67 now!

I have my Bible on my Dashboard of my 2010 F150. So that ALL that I can forget when I go to church is my bottle of water, and ALTOIDS. I do refer to my phone to turn to the scripture reading,,, KJV. BUT, I still use my Bible to verify that no syntex is changed from the SHAKESPEREAN TONE of the writing.

At my church & numerous Baptist, Methodist, & Presbyterian churches I have worshipped in during the last 25 years, Bibles for each individual are available in the pew rack in front of the worshipper, & the verses are also available on the video screen at the front of the church. BTW, I'm also carrying a choir folder, so give some folks a break.

Can anyone of you answer the question of why James would say that the last day was at hand in James 5:8? Was James mistaken? Why would Peter say the end of all things was at hand in 1 Peter 4:7? Do you really think the apostles meant the end of all time? I would suggest to consider learning what apocalyptic Hebraic symbolism means. 1 Peter 4:7 (ESV) The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers.
