Overkill? Perhaps... In this video we compare the brand new TiOC 2.0 PTZ from ‪@DahuaUKIreland‬ and its built-in speaker versus when combined with a TOA audio speaker with impressive results!
The built-in speaker is an effective deterrent & audible in its immediate vicinity, especially when on its default siren audio file, but if you need an audible warning message anywhere near the PTZ's 150M IR Range to warn off potential intruders before they even get close - you're going to need a separate audio solution....
We suggest you look no further than the TOA Powered Horn Speaker. Using just a 12V DC PSU (no amps!), connect the speaker directly to the audio connections of the PTZ, change the audio output device of the PTZ via the web browser to really pack a punch with any of your own custom audio messages as demonstrated in this video.

I am adding four of these cameras to a facility that treats those with mental health and addiction. They will be tasked with enforcement with different messages, nested messaging depending on conditions, recording action and to trigger each other for additional self protection. The client has a problem with loitering, graffiti, fires next to the building, destruction of property and garbage. Dahua is releasing an IP based speaker from what I understand.

Correct, we've not had any ETAs as of yet but coincidentally, TOA have released an IP speaker just recently so there will be a few options of IP speakers available from us very soon.
