I had a very, very wealthy friend. We were good friends because I didn't care about her money. She moved here and out of boredom, and having been a professional stylist, got a job in a snooty salon. She said they treated her like dirt. After about a month, she bought the salon and fired them all!! Even the manager! She sat on that property for awhile, so the next owner wouldn't hire the old staff back. Best story I ever heard. I bought HER dinner in celebration!!

I had moved into a smart building where the apartments were large and expensive but we bought a smaller 2 bedroom overlooking the block next door. I was a personal trainer and wanted to use the gym to train clients. Those in the building and a few outsiders. I had a friend married to an extremely wealthy man and she wanted to train with me but a prominent couple in the building objected because my friend didn’t live in the building. She bought the apartment next door to ours just so I could train her.

And...you want them to want to look forward to coming to work again after they have had their annual holiday. Also, it's not a bad idea to see the other fruits of their labours, not just the paypacket and the general thanks, but how the company is going as well...show them the profit and loss statements explained in honest layman's terms. You never know, some of them might understand enough to give other ideas to to improve those profits. Then they can say, hopefully not with a smug/concieted attitute, "I did that". They want something proud to tell their spouses or the rest of their whole families. I despise conciet in people, you can be very successful in your job without being "up yourself". I have seen too many concieted people fall on their swords because they create angst among the hard working employees. I'm glad you try and make their jobs worthwhile.

If you really want to see how a business really is talk to the workers who are commonly ignored like janitors. If you want to know about upper management talk to a receptionist or secretary. If you want to know about a trucking company talk to its drivers somewhere other than a terminal. Once I was in Florida at a terminal of the company I'd just been fired from when a couple of gentlemen walk in the door and saw me. They saw my bags and one asked me if I was a new hire and I explained. I thought they'd never finish asking me questions. I'm usually very open and honest in my answers when people ask me questions so you can imagine how open and honest I was. I even told them how my previous Driver Manager(DM) was treated after she'd had surgery. Oh, I also told why I was fired and that didn't sit too well with. These gents were the new owners of the company.

Here is my story. I once worked at a motel/amusement park in the restaurant. We had a pregnant cashier. They couldn't fire her just because of her pregnancy but the manager wanted her gone. He took over for her when she went on break and her till started coming up $20 short. So one time before she went on break she counted the money and then I counted the money it was perfect, Then she went on break and I made sure I was close by. I saw the manager slip $20 out of the till and then leave. I gave her the $20. to put in to make up the discrepancy. He then came back to make sure the till was right, knowing it should be $20 short. He screwed up and said "that can't be right because I...." That is when I said " Because you took out $20?" He knew he had been caught. He got fired after that. I had her back and was so upset that he would do that to her. I think she finally quit after her due date got closer. A long time ago so the details are kind of fuzzy about her leaving.

Every year we were always just shy of profit margins, always asked to work long hours and do double, triple and quadruple duties, without raises for years and years. While the CEO, COO and CFO enjoyed new cars every two years and smoked their $150 cigars. I'm so glad I woke up and left, I now work for a printing company in the same city and make 4x an hourly wage. The company I use to work for went under so I can name them without fear of being sued, Canfield and Tack.

Man, this manager was something else. Working his employees to the bone, forcing them to do janitorial work, denying them vacations or time with their families, trying to harass the women into going out with him and other things, and firing them when they refused. Not to mention withholding the real information about how the company was doing which would allow him to deny the employees raises and bonuses that that more than earned while diverting that money into his own pockets. And to top it off, using the company's credit and accounts like they were his own personal piggy banks, buying all those personal luxuries for himself aka embezzlement! I wish this could have had an ending where showing the guy going to jail and losing everything he bought at the company's and the employees' expense while they do well under the Andersons help, then he gets out of jail, finds himself broke and in debt, and can only find janitorial work and a rundown apartment to live in, and he runs into his former employees who are thriving with him gone.

Awesome story. Justice for the employees at the end and a company worth fighting for.

I love this young guy playing the main protagonist roles and the most fragile ones I wanna see more of these and an idea is that I want him to play a victim of sexual harassment where the perpetrator r*ped him because he drugged his drink and had his way without his consent and pretty much had to experience the MeToo thing but got judged unfairly due to his gender and his wealth and never believed him until the perpetrator attempted to r*pe him a second time until a female survivor saved him until he attempted to r*pe her too before she overpowers him and all the girls expose him and justice is served

This story was truly amazing. You know what I would like to see more boss movies like this, that they take company for advantage and the sun and take over and make it a better company. Thank you so much and happy new year.

In the New England area, I've watched many kids not care about HS or college knowing they will go into the family business regardless of the effort. I've seen HS and college students completely mock the teachers and professors knowing they would surpass the salaries as a starting point. The kids are often put in their place in social settings. They realize they started at middle management vs the very bottom like everyone else learning the craft.
