LOVE Underdog ! He's still one of my favorites since I was a little kid. Underdog, Bullwinkle, and of course Bugs Bunny and Scooby Doo. I used to say CARNTOONS, instead of cartoons. We only had one channel I think CBS?when I was growing up. Well, when I was about 12 we got a PBS station from the college, and another one that was either ABC or NBC Woo-Hoo ! There was no cartoon channels back then, unless you were rich enough to have a satelite dish. We were too far out in da boonies to get cable. Kids these days don't know how good they have it.

Actually no. The voice is PATTERNED after Lionel but it's not HIS voice. Lionel Barrymore was born on April 28, 1878, in Philadelphia, PA, and died on November 15, 1954, in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, CA. He was quite dead when Underdog was produced. Having said that, though, Sinister was voiced by Allen Swift, and based on the voice and looks of Lionel Barrymore. Simon appeared to be only two feet tall, and his most famous saying was, "Simon says!" His henchman was Cad Lackey, who, though generally dull-witted, was occasionally capable of pointing out flaws in his boss's plans. Contrary to the mad scientist stereotype, Simon actually paid attention to Cad's suggestions. In the 2007 live-action film adaptation, he is portrayed by Peter Dinklage. In the movie, Bar Sinister was originally a geneticist for a company in Capital City, using dogs as test subjects for the betterment of mankind. But after being laughed at by the mayor after attempting to have his research expanded to law enforcement, Bar Sinister began his work to create a super-power formula to get revenge and he took away Underdog's superpowers and put them in little blue pills and fed them to German shepherds and was sent to jail for his crimes. However, the incident resulted in the destruction of his lab that not only caused scarring of his forehead, the loss of some of his hair, and a limp in his right leg, but created Underdog. "Bar Sinister" is a macaronic reference to a heraldic mark, called barre sinister in French and bend sinister in English. The bend sinister is a line from the top right to the bottom left, and its diminutive form, correctly called a baton sinister, denotes illegitimacy. Despite its heraldic inaccuracy, the term bar sinister has been used in literary contexts to denote bastardy since the early 19th century. The name "Simon" is of Hebrew origin, and the word "bar" in Hebrew typically denoted a patronymic surname (see, for example, Simon bar Jonah, the birth name of Saint Peter). Oh man, I loved this character. Simon Bar Sinister. His voice, his demeanor was freaking hilarious. "Eee-ha,ha,ha,ha,haaaaa...it works. My - snow gun- works!" MAY 31 The truth about the Texas weather I got it. I know why all the crazy stuff is going on, especially in Texas. All the floods, tornados, winds etc. Hell even the heat, droughts, and fires elsewhere. Remember Underdog? Well, often the future is coded into movies, or cartoons. I mean Dick Tracy had those fancy watches he could talk on, just like cell phones now. So, I am sure thats where all this crazy weather came from- a weather machine. People talk about HARP, etc. But they are wrong. Obama done got his hands on a weather machine; and thats what those soldiers were doing in Texas during that Jade Helm thing- hiding it. Gregg Abbott was on to them, but they were wily, and managed to install it somewhere under a WalMart.
