Jack, the Packers had 11 future all-pro/hall of fame players and went 1-11-1. The next season Vince Lombardi was hired as head coach and they didn’t have a losing season under him and won 5 of the next 8 titles

As for what player to roast, I was right there with Paul, until he chimed in I'm just sitting there thinking "Aaron Rodgers is the natural choice here, so much material." I'm a Packers fan, but I'm not pissed at him, I'm just fine with him moving on at this point. I don't think I'd want to Roast Ziggy, I feel like at the end when the Roastee gets to fire back Ziggy would just step up and calmly go sniper mode and destroy everybody way worse than they could do to him. I actually think Paul would be the most fun, I like Jack but I feel like he wouldn't take it as well, he'd spend his time at the end going off on Colorado being part of the midwest and how head coaches don't actually matter.

Paul, you gotta brush up on your game theory. As a Vikings fan, the only choice for "win and live" betting is the team you hate the most. If GB wins, you get to live, and if they lose, you die but you die with the satisfaction that you never had to watch an other GB superbowl win in your life.

@ThePaulFarringtonShow If I was going to have a roast it would be two former Packers at the same time: Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. Both traded from Green Bay to the Jets. Brett is the southern boy and Aaron is the eccentric Cali guy. They could actually roast each other as well. That roast of #4 and #12 might outshine the Brady one.

It was a running league for years. Makes sense. Ziggy i think was too young to see Barry sanders. You just had to watch him to know. I bet any player voted top 10 has him in.
@ThePaulFarringtonShow6 ай бұрын
Barry Sanders was an excellent running back, no doubt about it. But you can’t put him above Payton or Brown, and putting 3 people from one position in the top 10 players of all time is a tough sell to me.
@TonyRPh4806 ай бұрын
@ ThePaulFarringtonShow Where do I start? First, let’s talk about the greatest player/coach in the history of the NFL: Curly Lambeau. This great founded the Packers, won six championships and along with Halas made the NFL successful. Even the stadium named after him is legendary. Next is Bart Starr. This 17th round pick won five NFL championships including the first two Super Bowls. He should replace Joe Montana. Montana was great, but definitely a system quarterback. When Niners moved on from him, no SB’s for Montana but the Niners still succeeded with Young. Starr wasn’t the flashiest QB but he was on the field what Lombardi was on the sidelines - a leader of men. The only stat he cared about was how many championships. Second only to Brady. Finally, the biggest omission is that of Don Hutson. He made the WR position what it is today. Dominant in his era of run first offenses, he retired with 3 NFL championships, was a 2 time MVP and held 23 NFL records, 13 of which still stand to this day. If the seasons didn’t get longer and the rules didn’t change, he’d still have most of those records. I know that you are young men, but you cannot discount the accomplishments of these great players because there was no internet or very little to no television coverage. If that is the case then Mike Trout easily eclipses Babe Ruth as the greatest MLB player of all time.

The generation that didn't see Deon Sanders play tend to overrate him. He was probably the best cover corner of all time but he was a total liability against the run. He was a luxury piece on a dominant defense. Someone who had no interest in tackling is not a top ten player

Top 5 QB, Dak. I usually can't disagree with Ziggy, but that is probably the most ridiculous thing I have heard. Jordan Love has as many playoff wins in 1 season as Dak has in 8. And putting your trust in Mike McCarthy is just giving up. The Jets and Cowboys are the least likely of those teams to win a Super Bowl. The order here has to be Green Bay/Houston Philly Atlanta Dallas Jets
@luisportillo64596 ай бұрын
I'd like to point out before the Mo Lewis hit, the coaching staff already knew they had something special in Brady and more than likely would have eventually created a Quarterback Controversy. You can argue however, that Belichick may have been fired by Kraft before that happened, he was 5-11 in his first year and coming off two losses going into the game where the Mo Lewis hit occurred. I do think Belichick and Brady are integral to the dynasty and would have won rings or had post season success without each other, but not as much as they did together. There's so many moments in the dynasty where a second here or an inch there adds or takes away rings. For a mail bag question. Ziggy do you think Nietzche was a try hard edge lord and troll or actually a modern prophet as some like to credit him as?

Agree - A great coach or a great QB will be able to win on their own, but their pairing is what forms dynasties.

LOL...Bo Jackson was INCREDIBLE, but he was NOT one of the greatest Football players of all time. Did he EVER have a 1000-yard season? I understand that his talent was undeniable, that he COULD have been a historic great..if he stayed healthy and IF he had not played Baseball. He's not on any of these lists. Also, when Dick Butkus played at the same time as Ray Nitchke, Nitchke was rated as the top LB of the first 50 years(same time period Butkus played)... Barry Sanders was Gayle Sayers, but stayed healthy. But, put Barry behind that same OL that Emmitt had? It's 2K A YEAR. That's not even a joke. Smith would REGULARLY have 5 yards before contact. Give Barry that type of space? It'd be so insane... And Jim Brown is the only other player on Barry's level. Non-QB list #1-Reggie White #2-LT #3-Jim Brown #4-Jonathan Ogden #5-Jerry Rice #6-Deacon Jones #7-Don Hutson #8-Randy Moss #9-Larry Allen #10-Aaron Donald

Keep in mind while judging different quarterbacks in different ages. Quarterbacks make up 65-75% of the team today. That stat was much lower 15-80 years ago. Who's the better 10? LeBron or Jordan? This isn't about basket ball. My analogy is sufficient. Get over it. Jordan
