Thank you ' Sheed for speaking true basketball facts. The 3 point shot used to be only for " specialists". Now everyone thinks they're a 3 point shooter, and if a guy doesn't shoot it well he gets penalized. As long as guys play to their strengths they don't need to shoot a three. He's spot on about Giannis and Siakum. Also Joel Embiid can average 40 with his skill set. He should be bullying dudes in the post, because you can't foul him. Plus you have to double him, so SOMEBODY is open. One of the main reasons why the game is messed up in some respects is because coaches are not allowed to teach and coach.

Hence why Sheed said you need a 10pt lead. You need a 10pt lead to cover -3.5. The refs are going to give the underdog 5/6 pts in the 4th qrt.

To fix the NBA, try shrinking the key back down to the pre-Wilt Chamberlin era. They did that to hinder big men. Then they add the 3 pt line to incentivize shooting. Balance it out by removing the disincentive they put in place for Wilt.

11:58 they should make a 23-foot, 9-inch length "line/arc" from the middle of the rim (which would eliminate the side 3-pointer [22-foot length]). The halfway line midpoint is 47-foot from the baseline-midpoint, so maybe have another arc/line at 35-foot from the middle of the rim and any shot made beyond that is worth 4 points 🏀 ⛹

That is so silly when the evidence showed in the mid 90' to 2000's it was the HIGH SCHOOL GUYS who carried the league. DARIUS MILES every guy on this list was A starter and got major minutes. There are several ALL STARS on this list. There are several HOF on this list and there are also guys who were TOP 50-75 GUYS and some regarded as the best or top 5 all time at that position. FRANCHISE guys and multiple CHAMPIONSHIP contributors. BENDER was on his way if not for injury. Yes TELFAIR messed up his career due to off court problems but he lasted 10 yrs. Yes I know there are the LENNY COOKS AND JACKIE SLATERS but you can't point to a few guys when the names above did what they did. All those above had good advisors and handlers early which made the biggest difference

Um if I could I would add some kind of “Force Sell” rule for the ownership, like if the team just keeps stinking it up with no .500 win seasons with high draft picks then with a 15-20 year obligation you are forced to sell or something idk because look at how long Donald Sterling made the Clippers a laughing stock of the NBA in till the Young Clips in the 2000s and the Lob City team and that was really because of Elgin Baylor and look at how things are so different now with that organization and Steve Ballmer is making them a legit franchise year in and year out.

@TheBaller3213 Жыл бұрын
Players are not more skilled. It's a combination of defense being so bad that the ATHLETICISM looks like skill. When a guy like DRAYMOND GREEN is being considered for the HOF your league isn't more skilled. You have guys like BISMACK BIYOMBO in your league this late in his career getting minutes and the guy outside of 2 ft can't do anything productive. When a guy like PJ TUCKER is in your league and considered an intricate part of your team your league is not more skilled. Moves don't equal skill if they don't translate. With all respect a guy like JOHNATHAN KAMINGA who is no more than an athlete and yet he is considered a real future piece your league is not that skilled. Just because TALL GUYS shoot more 3's don't make your league more skilled when that same TALL GUY doesn't have a go to post move and counter that he can perform at a 50-60 percent clip

Nobody wants to say it directly. They took the physicality out of the game to let more overseas players in European players. The game was too physical. If you go back to the dream team and listen to what they were saying they couldn't compete with the physical play so they took that out and everybody is glorifying 7 footers shooting three pointers but we all know what that comes back to. Who was the first player drafted this year? It wasn't a brother. That's what it's about making it so they can compete because they cannot compete. Change the refs jobs to just reviewing replys. Get the players to call their own foul. Call travels, carry, palming the ball while dribble, get rid of that semi circle line under the basket to stop players flopping and taking the charge. Let them challenge the shot for blocks. Get rid of goaltending to encourage offensive rebounding
