The fact that nobody thought of coconut rice is going to haunt my dreams for a while. Honestly they both had "decent" ideas. Discount Swedish meatballs using strawberries to approximate ligonberry sauce and salmon with coconut rice would've at least been presentable, I think. How would you have done it?

@@shepardice3775 well also after seeing the abysmal pantry they showed I have no idea 😂 I did participate in a chopped style competition in the casino kitchen I worked at years back gor a charity thing and won but when in there I had a larger arsenal of supporting ingredients to work with. I was trying to look at the pantry, I didn't see any pasta but that was gonna be my first thought was make a fettuccine or a linguine (my preference would be vermicelli but no one has that at least a spaghetti would even work) and make a sauce by putting together the cilantro and the tomatoes with some bicarb, some sugar, a bit of flour and work in the beef as a type of beef sauce with maybe a table spoon of the soda water and some spices (probably garlic powder, the required onion powder and some pepper. I would then take the honey and glaze the salmon with just a bit of breadcrumbs and pan sear it before throwing it in the oven for a few minutes. I would thicken the coconut cream on the stovetop with some honey, some salt and pepper, some kind of ingredient with a kick depending on what they had (maybe some habanero?) And some of the soda water and 2 egg whites. I'd then use that to lightly glaze the salmon and serve that over some rice. Serve the pasta alongside the salmon, and garnish with the cilantro. Is that my best idea? Absolutely not. But I'm trying to use what I can see they have to make the best dish I can given the restrictions.

I realize I said cilantro instead of coriander but that'd because they're aussies. In the US coriander refers to the seeds, while cilantro refers to the leaves and stems but internationally that description is swapped.

I honestly thought the sauce from Jordan killed their chances, considering that’s half of what those 4 brought up in the cooking phase. but then they brought up Zack adding WAY too much oil, and the fact that the fish was raw and you couldn’t even eat the coriander, and I had to agree. (Frankly I would’ve given their creativity a better score, though. All Peter and Jordan did put put their food on sticks while Jackson and Zach actually combined their’s in a new way that Rays and Snuffles probably weren’t expecting.)
