another brill video mate love it that you see the little jobs like the hairdresser tap just as important as the big barn conversions etc I can’t believe how many little jobs we go to and the customer will say I’ve tried to get plumbers and they are not interested because it’s only a small job #realworldplumbing

Press fit is the way forward. I started using it a few months ago and would never go back, yes its not for every situation, but its cut my boiler install time down by half, and no need to cleanse the system of flux, as not used, also if there is water in the pipe as there normally is on a boiler swap this to is not a problem. I WOULD NEVER GO BACK.. Still have to solder every so often but press is the way forward...

Another good video. I like the dig at the Vauhall dealership. That barn conversion is nicely taking shape. Have a look at knipex raptor. It's a waterpump type plier but with a beaked end which gives great grip on seized or rounded nuts. #realworldplumbing

Question when you pump to the manifold say on a normal s plan system do you put a bypass in as in theory the blending valve on the manifold can close off the flow pipe

All the old plumbing seems to have worked and we used to do exactly that, put the flux in the fittings with the solder, now as ll the newbies are shot scared they will fill the pipe with solder if they get any in the fitting!🤔🥱

Great video Mark I remember having a vauxhall car years ago and front drivers seat collapsed ha to actually contact vauxhall as dealer wouldn't touch it as just over a year old but vauxhall sorted it no problem. #realworldplumbing

That's a blast from the past jasper carrot aka bob davis. I would find yourself a good back street mechanic who has all the diagnostic gear to look after your van mark they will do a much better job and won't rip you off, I've had the same with main dealers expensive work and poor customer service.
