Customer testimonial.......I own one of these sluice boxes and can say it is the finest piece of mining equipment on the market today. Grumpyprospector is going to take the mining industry to a new level with clean Gold collection.......no mercury or acids needed to collect all the fine gold with no black sands or panning at the end of your run. By far and above the easiest sluice I've ever used.

The level of customer service I received was outstanding!! Thank you for listening to me talk about finding gold in Louisiana and not thinking I was crazy,please see the attached picture. As I told you it is super fine and impossible to separate by panning.The dust shown in the the vial is from running for 2 hours(about 1 gallon of cons.)with my new Underflow Mini. Turns out I did prove that there is gold in central Louisiana! You just have to look in the right place.

Thanks for your comments. The UnderFlow is truly a game changer in precious metals mining. Yes, it works on gem stones, too. Each UnderFlow sluice is built by hand to our strict specifications so they last. It may be the last piece of mining equipment you ever have to buy......until you need a larger one like you said. We are excited to offer the best piece of mining equipment available to the public. Thanks for your business and your time. Good luck with your prospecting!!!!

This is very clever. I think having a perfectly smooth bed to the riffle holds the idea back a little with the very ultra fine gold, but that would be easy to change. The design forces even the particles that float to go underwater. Its solid thinking.

I recently bought the mini underflow sluice box 2' x 5". I am using a 600 gph pump.. It says to use 325 gph.I will tell you even with that much flow going through the fine gold still stays in the trap. I'm telling you the truth.. I am very happy with my purchase and will be ordering a lot larger underflow..I am not skilled at using the underflow but I even have gold showing..XGrumpyProspector you have a great design.Thank you.From the goldprospector38..From Port Alberni British Columbia Canada..

I will upload a video showing exactly what you have described very soon. We will be uploading new videos showing new models and designs of the UnderFlow Sluice in the very near future. We are changing the way people mine Gold around the world. Fine Gold capture has never been so easy. A skilled operator can easily capture the fine Gold flushed out by traditional sluice boxes. No need for rubber matting or miners moss or any consumable materials. No panning at the end of your run, either.

The concept is good, have not seen it before. What I would like to see is concentrates going into it, as in over 50% black sand. Often you can get a handful of black sand in a single panning. Please dump in a pint of mostly black sand concentrates with gold being the same size grains or smaller. If you have lets say 2 grams of gold in a pint of black sand, pour it through, and get 98% of the gold in the trap with less than 10% black sand, I am sold.

I ordered a double trap system, I can't wait to try it, it sure looks amazing, all the other sluices I've looked at require tedeous cleanups and more panning afterwords too. This system looks like theres hardly any work afterwords, and you can see the results right away. I think you have a great product, I wish you good luck on your sales of your products, looks like you've thought this out, Thanks, Darin

I'll post another video demonstrating the drop in Gold. For instance, just because fine earthly dust exits, does not mean even the finest of Gold is. Dirt and Dust is far lighter than the Gold. I have extensively tested this prior to posting, & no reason to capture fine dirt that contains no Gold particulate? Right? Thanks for comment, I appreciate everyones comments and for paying such close attention to details, Thanks Grumpy Prospector

The pics of a orrpiallage(prob mispelt) they have a split feed so would cause a vacuum on other side of the gate ,if added airator block well before the trap and used a separate feed behind the gate to cause a better vacuum ,what would happen ? Could you enlarge the trap to run more material through it ? Best ask ones who would test the idea thoroughly

The gate is fully adjustable. You can move it up or down and also from side to side so you can focus the water pressure in the trap blowing out all unwanted black sand and debris. You can dial in the sluice box and get all the control you need to get nothing but clean Gold. It works just like you see on the videos. Here I posted above, a comment from a Prospector (Frank) that had purchased the exact system & from the same production timeframe. Where he,(as many other buyers), have entirely different productive results? Why is this? Because the system truly works in the hands of adept individual. This video was filmed with a hand held Canon Camera, with no special magic going on. What you see is real live footage - of a system when opperated reasonably properly will produce the same results.

Not without keeping all of the black sand. Most gemstones have a specific gravity less than black sand, but you should be able to tune it to keep most metals. Google "gemselect Specific Gravity Chart" Probably quicker to look for ruby with a UV light anyway.

A good old fashion drop riffle is fine. The real test is re-running dirt. If you can do that without finding more gold then you don't need a better sluice.

Hi, My name is malcolm and im 13 years old. I always wanted to be either a miner/prospecter when im adult. Im planning the future and want to ask you some questions: 1. How much is a prospecting permit and how old do i have to be to get one? 2. How much money can you get from the amount of gold shown in that sluice? 3. Did you fast-forward the video or did it actually produce that much gold in 4:00 ? Please respond!
@XGrumpyProspector10 жыл бұрын
Hi Malcom. Thanks for taking time to write us with your great questions. Prospecting permits vary from place to place. In Vermont, you need to fill out a form with the state and pay 25.00 for sluice boxes and there is no charge for panning with a shovel and Gold pan. In Utah, there are no permit requirements. Everywhere you should be sure you have permission from property owners to prospect. BLM land requires no permission but there are areas that are closed to prospecting like near National Park boundaries. The gold in this video is about 28.3 grams or just over an ounce of Gold. As of the date of this video, Gold is worth about 1300.00 an ounce, so there is about $1300.00 there. This video is shown in real time so no fast forwarding or any camera tricks. Our sluice box works just like the videos show. Be sure to check out all of our other videos on our fine sluice boxes from grumpyprospector d 0t com. Thanks again and good luck with your prospecting...!!

Malcolm McGlashan Hey Malcolm. You can get one of our sluices at Grumpyprospector d 0T com. We make several different units that are used for different types of prospecting and mining. Most of the easily to get good Gold was already picked up from the streams by the old timers. They were good and very thorough in their task. However, they didn't get it all. There are also some good spots up north in Canada and Alaska there where the glaciers are receding and exposing new ground that has never been prospected before. I've heard recent stories of guys going up there and filling coffee cans with nuggets in a single afternoon. Just have to know where to look. The stuff you are seeing near your school is most likely mica or fools gold. You can get a Gold pan very inexpensively and try to pan some out. Gold is very heavy and can easily be captured in a Gold pan after some practice. You generally need to dig deep to get the Gold, not on the surface in most cases. Good Luck to YOU!!!!

Great idea but unfortunately not pratical out in the wild. This would be more for a clean up station. In the wild, you would have to wait for that to clear, otherwise it looks like it would build up too quickly and never make it under then creating a dam.

@mws12312 жыл бұрын
both may help but that looked to contain about 10 grams of gold. It took about 3:45 seconds to refine it. With a gold pan you can do that in easily 30 seconds.
@GamingKeenBeaner Жыл бұрын
The point in sluices is not that each riffle works faster than a guy panning. It is that the sluice does the panning work for you while also having lots of riffles for catchment. There are a lot of factors, but sluices are about larger volume and this demonstration is just one simple riffle.
@XGrumpyProspector11 жыл бұрын
We set up a 5 gallon bucket off the end of the sluice and pan through the material to see if any made it through. If you see fine flour, re classify and re run your material at a lower water pressure. You can get near 100% recovery. -350 mesh is easy......-500 mesh and smaller requires a bit of knowledge and patience. You can get it all if you have the time. Our sluice is superior to any other design out there.

Timelaps? The cut in filming was due to the fact I filmed this with a hand held Cannon camera. In which did not do well on batteries life when filming in video mode. Also just a couple lengthy minutes of video could max out a SD card. Unfortunatly these two facts caused me at times to add new batteries or sd card while filming. Bummer, they were uncontroled stops in filming. Nothing more than a quick change of battery or card and I resumed the video. In live action.

You claim this to be a fast way to get the gold? It looks more like a cleanup tool to me, in the video you can watch the underflow riffle being lowered slowly. I bet a few larger rocks would kick the gold right out. It looks like you used chunky gold and play sand for the test. How us it operation with continuous shoveling and black sand in the sluice. Seems almost like a time wasting sluice that's not worth the money and will loose gold under field conditions.

But that's pretty coarse gold. How about powder gold?
@bossmcasskick40518 жыл бұрын
It's not going to catch powder gold because the water flows too fast in this one. However, if you have a second underflow sluice with a slower water flow, then you will be able to catch powder gold. The easiest way to do this is to simply have a bigger underflow sluice after the first one. The bigger it is, the slower the water will flow.
