I’m studying economics at Georgetown, DC. The location advantage is real, having said that you just don’t have to consider whether it’s justified for you to pay that much money to get that advantage but you have to also consider if you really will have that advantage. Majority/All of the opportunities in DC are for US citizens just because of the fact that it’s the nation’s capital, most jobs require a security clearance and not just federal jobs but private jobs as well as the government hires private contractors. So the DC job market is very unique and you need to figure out if you fit in.

I'm attending GWU, graduate next year with a masters in nursing AGPCNP. I am very happy with the school. The quality of education is beyond what I expected and they take a unique approach to education. Most universities just give you a few chapters to read a week, a quiz and then an exam. Its not like that at GWU. They give you projects, hands on and real life assignments that require interacting with professionals within your field. You learn real experience while completing the program!! I can't wait to become an alumni and grow in my profession.

UT Austin won't give international students scholarships (6-7 international students annually get the in state tuition waiver. That is why I didn't apply :(

UT Austin is very difficult to get into compared to GW - so although cost is lower it's out of reach for most (even for local undergrad students with top 1% scores who are not in the top X% of their high school class). It's the flagship University of Texas and primarily takes in the top 6% of graduating seniors in each local high school.
