I’m mid point into the video and you said what’s a way we can promote the channel/ the movie and one thing that comes in mind is maybe do a collab video with RebelTaxi? He does alot of videos discussing older tv shows and actually the reason how I watched the show because of him talking about it in a past video. I’m sure he would be happy to get into contact and promote anything you’re doing!

Pete, I can't tell you what the series you created means to me, I don't have the way with words to express it. It's a comfort food meal like my grandmother used to make most Sundays, it's a favorite song from high school that makes everything feel so simple again. If I have a chunk of time with nothing going, Undergrads will be what I'm watching the plurality of the time. Thank you.

One of my animation instructors worked on Undergrads; one of our lessons involved looking at the character and set design sheets. The show really reminds me of when I was younger and life felt exciting!

Legal rights are always such a mess. It's crazy that they can cling to all of the legal rights to the show for so many years despite seemingly no interest in actually doing anything with them. I think basically everyone I know is already at least aware of the show and the planned movie. Back when I was a speedrunner, I used the "Damn it! I hate this game!" voice clip from the Risk episode as a sound effect for resets.

Okay, I remember this show from the early 2000's and had been searching for it for ages because I couldn't remember the title. Just recently I found it on a list of adult animated shows on Wikipedia, and was stoked that after years of searching, I had finally found it. Ordered a DVD off of the 'zon and binged the entire series. Such an underrated gem, really hoping the movie happens now...

Hearing Pete say that the results weren't great surprised me. I thought that it looked really good. As good as the original 2D animation? Maybe not, but still better than I'd expect without a full animation studio working on it.

Hmmm i get being opposed to Patreon cause of havin to make its content. But i feel like if you released some of the pre production material in chunks on a monthly basis youd have a pretty solid basis for a single monthly tier. Maybe $1 tier to access a Discord server to hop on n chat from time to time with fans and a $5 tier for monthly preproduction material access + server? Ko-fi is also a site used for tiping so if folks wanna drop a little bit of money but not on a monthly basis that could work too. Also I agree with the person who suggested maybe doin an interview with Rebeltaxi. Their Undergrads video is what reintroduced me to the series years later and he did a nice job plugging the movies kickstarter. He mentioned wanting to do a part 2 for the movie review and has done pidcast interviews with cartoon creators so it could be mutual beneficial.

Undergrads aired the year before I myself was an undergrad, so much of my freshman year, and even the years after, were spent listening to my friend imitate Cal, “Hey, Guy!” Always made me laugh. Such nostalgia. Thanks for making the show and I look forward to seeing the movie 🫶

Hey Pete. Happy to hear things are moving along. Also, that Animation T.O. video is terrific. Makes me wonder if we’ll see Gimpy’s potato gun or Cal’s appreciation for Star Trek in the film. Bringing in elements from the previous iterations of the characters only adds depth & lore to the Click. To quote a different animated series, Later Days. See you next month.

I'm so glad that you're doing OK and this is still going on. I first found underGRADS when I was in college and absolutely loved it. The characters, felt so real. I was always sad that we never got a 2nd season, especially after that cliffhanger ending (Seriously Nitz, you're so blind! Jessie was RIGHT THERE!!). I'm wondering if when you're getting closer to doing the voice work, will there be any sort of open casting call made or will you be looking towards union only actors (or agencies)?

Are you still tight with any of your coworkers from the show, like Josh Cagan? I'd love if you guys could get together over a few beers and provide commentary for the episodes and sell the physical CD's to the fans for fundraising purposes. I think early South Park did that for their first couple of seasons when they provided DVD commentary (not for fundraising obviously) They bashed the film Contact so Paramount didn't want them to release the commentary in the DVD set.

Is there anywhere to stream or currently watch the show short of finding old disks on Ebay? (in Canada if that helps). or is there any plan to approach anyone to bundle the series with the movie after release (i know that question is probably early) i've watched it many times from Teletoon and my brother's old dvds. but sadly he finally noticed i had them recently and asked for them back to enjoy himself.

The key to Patreon is to offer pointless rewards. If people really care about the thang, they won't mind how bad the rewards are. Hey Pete, been a fan since I was a little kid watching undergrads, still am patiently waiting for the movie. My favourite episode I think is either Risk, or New Friends especially it involves Jessie quite a bit guy. Can say I’m wishing MTV/Viacom would allow you to get the rights back to be honest, since if you were able to get them back I would love to see you do some content with commentary while waiting for the movie. Glad to see you updating us monthly especially as it’s been so long since we got updates guy. I know I’ll be sharing this a lot and to be honest if anything I know that the show is awesome, if MTV can’t allow you to get the rights back then MTV/Viacom can do one thing Nitz told everyone to do in Identity Crisis… they can go to hell.
