Here is the update 17 Dec 2022 from kick starter Hey guy(s) Let me first start by acknowledging that I am a total butt for not doing a better job of providing you with more updates throughout the year. To answer the number one question in my neglected inbox…Yes, the Undergrads Movie is still happening. In fact, we recently reached another big milestone… Storyboarding is now complete! Our next step is cutting together an animatic, which is where the storyboard panels are edited together with dialogue and sound to nail down the timing and pace of the film. This is pretty much the last step before going into layout and animation. So it’s a big one! Once the animatic is complete, it will be used as a selling tool to help us land distribution for the movie, and hopefully secure the additional financing needed to cover the rest of our production budget. As always, thank you all for your continued patience and support.

I liked the irony where they were just next to each other and had no idea and it just stayed like that. But it could be great if somehow they found out. I don't think they should hook up again in the story though, it wouldn't work

@@GuillaumeDrolet Yes and no. No because obviously each person's college experience is very individual specific. Yes, because your (likely optimistic) expectations of what college should be almost never gets fulfilled, so exactly like how it was for the characters in the show.

I'm 20 and just got done watching Undergrads, easily one of the best shows I've seen, and crazy how I was only a baby when it first came out, but the humor and pop culture references still stick. I wish I discovered it sooner so I could've donated to the kickstarter. I'm super excited for the movie and can't wait to see what happens between Nitz and Jessie. Thank you for making the show and the upcoming movie, it is definitely underrated.

Man, a 2021 release would be awesome, but pleeeeeeeease don't feel pressured to do so just because it would be an even 20 years since the original seasons air date. I want the movie TO be awesome. I just found out about this! I look up Undergrads every couple of years, how did I miss the Kickstarter!? Damn I wish I could have gotten in on that Background Character... I first saw Undergrads when I was 11 (or I suppose, almost 11), sneaking into the living room late at night after my family went to bed, to watch Undergrads and Spawn :P From the very first episode I fell DEEPLY in love with it... Such likeable dopes, and SUCH STYLISED NERDS! I absolutely cannot wait for this Movie!

That show had excitment written all over. I cant get enough of it. The audience clearly gets attached to all the charicters. Nitz, Rocko, Gimpy and Cal all have such a great chemistry among eachother and have unique personallities. I love everything about the 13 episodes that were produced in 2001. The show made you feel like you were watching a Movie or a clever sit-com. I still get excited watching the golden episodes from season 1. I think the top 5 best animated shows of all time are: 1-South Park, 2-Simpsons, 3-Family Guy, 4-Beavis & Butt-Head and 5-Undergrads 🎥 theres no show quite like Undergrads, even Rocko's very exsistance is halarouis, each and every joke is memorable and the show still stands out among any brand new show or sit com 👌

What you said about the chemistry betwen Nitz, Rocko, Gimpy and Cal is so true. I actually learned something about childhood frienships from watching this show again when I reached my mid 20s. Me and my childhood friends have known each other for so long, that no matter how different from each other we end up becoming while getting older, nothing will ever replace this connection we have together. Someone who would see us separately today, would never guess we could be friends haha

I can't believe it's been like, 7 years since I took part in that BBU video, and even longer since I met you guys at the Calgary Expo!. Since getting into content creation myself, I understand just how much goes into a production. Even our tiny little videos take weeks to produce, shoot, edit and release...hours and hours of work for just a few minutes of content. I hope everyone continues to have patience because a great finished product takes time. Hell, I recently was watching a video where Seth Rogan talked about his writing process, and he mentioned that they often have over a hundred versions of a single script written...and that is only one small part of the process. Looking forward to what's in store, take good care guys!

I never thought it would come back, i'm amazed and hope for the best, take the time that's needed. I'm also glad they aren't going on a road adventure, staying where they are (or close by?) is much better, we get to see the progression, not only of the main characters but of their neighbors and classmate/etc.

I'm glad at the very least the show got a chance to exist with 1 season and appreciate the idea of the movie as well as your effort to make one. Hi Pete. I'm from Montreal. The Undergrads is by far one of my favorite shows and I really can't wait to see the movie. I have a concept idea to suggest to you for the film. Maybe you or another fan had already a similar idea, but I woud really want that Rocko found a girlfriend. It would be a girl like him with exactly the same flaws, the same character and the same personality. They might meet up and have a crush by being kicked out of a bar. It could be a tanned girl with implants not ugly but not pretty enough for a lot of guys to want to sleep with. Most importantly, she would have to hate Cal as much as Rocko to the point that she and Rocko punch Cal in the face together.

It may be too late for this, but... if you could... something seemingly trivial that's actually very important... would be some kind of quick shot or even a scene that incorporated like, High Pressure Sodium Lights during a sunset / twilight. (You know? Orange street-light!) I dunno... that's just... in a world of LED bulbs... Those HPS Lights were just... they were something very unique to their time. Not to mention a show like Undergrads would be playing at a time of the evening where as you were watching it, you could look out your window and see just that. hahaha. I'd love it at least.

Hm. To elaborate a bit further... At the beginning of a good chunk of episodes, you'll show a shot of one of the College's. Tekerson Tech is usually shown at dusk. That's something very important to me.

my guess is : 1 - because not enough people know undergrads 2 - no one has been able to convince them to bring back undergrads first season (hopefully remastered to HD) to build up a new (and perhaps bigger) fan base to then make the creation of a sequel more financially appealing
