Nice bit of Concrete work Dave, it's looking great. Good luck with the tunnel corrections. I worked with a mate many years ago out in Kent building a wet well for farm field tile to drain into and then the water could be collected and then it could be sump pumped to a higher elevation. That build is well strong. Thanks Dave....

love it and you even hinted a round tunnel for the future; after the extension to the bungalow that is!
@Tornado_Dave3 сағат бұрын
My dream is a round tunnel boring machine and round part sections that bolt together after the machine so it has to keep going 😀
@dimitar4yСағат бұрын
@@Tornado_Dave the round boring machine is easy. The extraction of soil is the first problem. The wearing-out head is the second. Shuttering is easy though, just get a long flat steel sheet half-coiled, shove it in, it uncoils, boom done. Tack a nail or two, can't coil to collapse ever.

The main bunker your building should be like the big entrance building of all the tunnels and build a tunnel coming from every wall and they all meet back at the big entrance.

You should see if that Barry bank/ups has a battery setting to stop charging at 80% and start charging at say 40 to60 ish%. If you keep it at a 100% the battery will be toast within a year. This may still be in warranty, but you'll only find out it's toast when you need it. In that moment the warranty won't power your devices. There will likely be a menu called power management. Or a setting that says ups, this will put least stain on the batteries in in it.

Move your battery into the bunker. Charging Lithium batteries in sub zero temperatures which we'll inevitably get here in the UK is very bad for their lifespan, it might even refuse to charge if it's designed properly. Also please eventually change that double ended plug, they're called suicide plugs for a reason - I'm not gonna bash you for a quick temporary solution but I would absolutely make sure that's dealt with as a priority. Some manufacturers of those battery banks also offer a changeover panel thing that integrates with your home wiring to safely facilitate the connection of the battery system, so it might be worth seeing if yours has this, or keeping that as just power for tools when you're too far from the house and get a system like the one by Anker or EcoFlow.
