Had to do a similar task with a 457 beam 40 ft long. Milk crates and a for jack. Very scary. But we did it. Glad to see things are moving on. Great looking structure.

Those look awesome, all that filling work was well worth the effort, it just takes away the "welded from bits" look. You got me worried trying to install the first one single handed - I had visions of you plummeting off your wobbly platform of terror and into the dark pit of doom, followed by the steel itself - might have made one of those viral videos but definitely wouldn't have been fun!!!

You are, as ever, amazing. Insane, but amazing. Thoughts... Important ones! Your back?!! I used to do what you do... "I'll worry about it when it happens". Then one day years later it does happen. Minor click lifting a light box of tiles. Mild ache a week or so, all but sorted. Then a 20 minute drive and bam, it hits. Next thing I'm crawling to get to the loo (literally), can't get up into it to sit on it, nor wipe. It took 2 weeks to sort itself. Seriously. Watch how your mate lifts. He does it right. You do it 100% wrong!! Why is it always me that has to be the old nag?! You have a missus for that.

Before you start lifting any diesel engines up there, might be time to build another crane. Lift derrick, boom something, staging ramp, I don't know but I'd hate to see you blow your back out for good and never be able to finish the project. Anyway, looking good!
