In the late 1800's, Chattanooga, TN was hit by many floods and the water would reach up to about 25-30 feet. So in the early 1900's local business and citizens started raising the ground level 3 to 15 in some areas. A lot of this was never documented so we decided to go underground with permission from a few local businesses to capture some footage and explore the tale of underground Chattanooga.

born in Chattanooga in '61. remember using the tunnel under market street connecting loveman's and miller bros. numerous times. does that still exist?

Chattanooga is still flooding. But not as bad and a good place to live.

A modern walk in freezer isn't much supporting evidence, neither was the close up of electrical boxes.

Yes, these have been used periodically throughout the years for sex and child trafficking. Every city has these. This is a bs explanation of these tunnels.

@@chrish.9279 the only access to these basements is via locked doors of private businesses. The only tunnel that goes anywhere is the one under Big River restaurant and you exit behind the dumpster of another restaurant. I doubt that criminals are using restaurants in downtown Chattanooga to traffic children.
