Listen both Underhand and Overhand Serves can have amazing utility! With your Underhands try these few things, 1. Skyball! It’s usually in beach volleyball, but it has a space in club volleyball! It’s height makes it hard to pass. 2. Horizontal Underhand! Strike the ball and make it have more forward momentum than typical. That way it barely makes it over the net/clips it and tips in. I’ve only ever seen old people who are very experienced so this kind of serve, but you gotta start somewhere. 3. Steep Serve! Try hitting the ball SHORT. So it crosses over the plane at the net just barely and comes from an almost 90 degree angle. With your Overhands, 1. Practice Standing Floats FIRST. 2. Then top spins with walking momentum. 3. THEN jump floats! 4. And finally, if you want to, you can practice Jump Top Spins. General accuracy should always be part of your training. Learning how to serve short, or deep should come naturally to you.

It may look easy in video but in real life we have to put more effort and do our hardwork. In first it's not easy for everyone to serve or pass in volleyball but if we practice everyday we can do it one day😊 all the best for everyone who are playing volleyball 🥰

Honestly the hardest part for me playing volley was doing the serve. Come to think of it I was small and so skinny back then it felt like I was this weak stick about break if I tried to even hit the ball. I’m a total introvert, so there’s no confidence in me at that point because the opposite side is about to watch me fail. Ugghhh this makes me want to train myself😩

You'll become good at serving after some time. At first I sucked, but I can get it over the net most of the times. Problem with serving is the anxiety I get (butterflies in my stomach), with ppl watching me in games, which results in me not serving over the net sometimes. But I have learnt to cope with it.

It doesn't really matter what ball your using but if you're looking for the perfect ball I recommend Mikasa (the ball not the anime character from aot)

Exsala Alcantara some referees may want to see you drop the ball before hitting it. like there have been times where my colleagues will hit the ball straight off their hand and the ref would call it. Only happens with certain refs tho.
