It is NOT easy to drum and sing at the same time, especially if you drum that hard and sing high notes. Aaron is a legend

Exactly. Don Henley from the Eagles did it almost to perfection. Granted he wasn't playing metal lmao but still, definitely a hard thing to do. Aaron is a G for sure.

I learned to sing and play the kit because my lead vox wanted harmonies and no one else could do it. I refused to even try because, damn it was hard! He kept setting up a mic at the kit day after day at rehearsals. To be honest, once our material became total muscle memory, adding vox wasn't really that bad. I even did lead vocals on a few tracks. Once it clicked, it was just another thing you could do. Keep trying!!

I wouldn't say its tuned low, the snare is more on the high side, kick medium tension, toms maybe a little on the lower side, but still medium tension.

@marcv31916 ай бұрын
@@DLeRouxsometimes I think it’s very difficult to pick a drummer and say “that’s the best to do it”, ya know. I think there’s just a ton of incredible drummers in all different areas of rock music as a whole. Neil Pert of rush, Mike Portnoy of dream theater, Danny caray of tool are incredible and technical but then some people may say Chad smith of RHCP or even Carter Beauford of DMB are tops. It’s difficult, but Aaron for sure is the greatest to ever do it in his genre.
