I respect drummers. I play bass. They have the toughest job in the band, as well as the most freeing. You lose the drummer, you lose the rest of the band. They are the rock that binds everyone together, and keeps them focused.
@themessenger83344 жыл бұрын
Tell that to Every Time I Die. They've been through like 5 different drummers and have dropped nothing but fire their entire lifetime as a band.

@@themessenger8334 when ur in a touring band that’s actually doing something like them you can get a bad ass drummer once a week if you need to. When ur just a local band trying to break out it’s tough so many local musicians have big egos. Last band I was in when it ended we had the best lead guitarist in my area and one of the best drummers too and the funny thing is they had no big egos they we happy to be a part of the band because they felt that the singer and myself we very good song writers.

It's literally taken me ten years to finally be able to play all UO songs from TOCS onward. Those time signatures, whoa. DTGL was like a math puzzle for my 17 year old brain, it took so many listens to truly get it. No one still understands UO, they are a movement, not a few guys playing some ditties. Aaron rules, just don't ask him if he's Mormon. Trust me.

@rhall897 жыл бұрын
Con you can’t really use time signatures to play UO songs, you really have to just play to complement the melody. It’s not really a timing groove or anything it’s more about accentuating what the guitars are doing.
@desolatesoul23046 жыл бұрын
I don't think it's so much time signatures, as it is tempo. The time is still in 4/4.

Those are great, but not what I'm talking about, sadly. On his rack tom, he has a wood block type attachment on the outer part of his rim (ride side). I, for some reason, can't track this item down, but I would love to have one attached to my rack.
