This strategy is simple but so good!! One of my favorite ways to play with China. The snowball of units never stops! They compound greatly with the multiple unit shipments and eventual redcoats. Let me know your thoughts on this one!

awesome strat! this is one of my go-to builds. some things i would suggest, having played this a lot: 1. switch wonder to old han armies immediately on age up, you get so much more value out of pikes than steppe riders, 2. when you ship 700w and 600w, switch a lot more vills onto food and get the market upgrades for hunting, so you will have a more balanced res pool

I think a good point for China is learning how to counter cavalry. Something worth knowing is China can train manchus at the monastery in the fortress age for 220 coin, and they fill that anti-cav role quite well

Ehh i dont think u are guaranteed to have manchus at the monastery. And i also think china being weak to cav is kind of a myth. Like if u do a Standard ff u have Intervention for redcoats the changdaos and ur own cav to block (especially the Meteor as they could snare and kite at the same time if microed well.

As far as eco goes: china is not as dependant on good eco as other civ since they just pull a lot of stuff out of their a@&. Also always try to age to fortress with porc tower since its the equivalent of about 8 vill when on wood.

I think China's cards have balance combination, got a lot of military unit cards age 2 for rush but still able to do another strategy with many eco and unit buff shipments

Not about the video, can you make a strategy with German Church? They have a card (4k gold tho) that make all mercenary shipments free (only those who are one-time for you, nor team or infinite cards.

Doesnt that upgrade cost like 4k gold or something? I remember trying going for it but it wasnt worth it unless you have tons of mercenaries shipments are are playing the IV Age mercs cards too

@@thegoodlord6518 yea, is 4k gold, but you can use all merc cards that are discounted, and they are like 11-12k gold worth, and they are elite versions of some units

I tried that strat myself several times. The 4k gold isnt an issue, the issue is getting so much XP to send those mercs in. If you want the strat to pay off, you need to send about 3-4 merc cards. During that time you have no army so enemy can kill you easily. Unless your enemy is turtling. But if that is the case, their eco is much better by the time you have your mercs. A lot of mercs are also in age IV, so thats another expense (in resources and time, which you dont have, when you are using decs, that send units.)

@@trevorsun2229 it's pretty hard. im not a treaty player though so I don't have the best advice. But I do know that China is definitely a top tier civ in treaty. I think your best bet is just to keep constant pressure on russia so they can't afford to divert resources into making cav run through your base. if you have barracks right next to their base and you're constantly spamming units and russia has 70 pop locked up in opris running across the map, russia is going to lose the main fight and you can make a lot of ground
