I play Fateful Showdown in my Locust God deck, it's a decent finisher when I have 30+ cards in hand with a Reliquary Tower/Thought Vessel in play

Cheated out Blightsteel with Thran Temporal Gateway at the end step of the opponent before me, made a token copy with Mirrorworks, and on my turn, had Brudiclad turn 7 myr tokens into 7 Blightsteels and swung in for lethal infect at the other three players.

I run the Aminatou-Felidar Sovereign combo in my Aminatou shenanigans deck. I’ve already won off of it thanks to the card draw. I’m glad people are catching on to this combo thought

Instill Energy is pretty good, dirt cheap both in CMC and money and is just pure value in decks like Selvala where you need to tap your commander to do broken things and is even useful in Voltron as it kinda gives haste to the creature (just for attacking) and it kinda grants vigilance as it allows you to untap the creature after combat.

I think Hour of Revelation is a very underrated Wrath effect in that usually when one wants to wrath the board that will almost always be more than ten nonland permanent cards out, and also Release to the Wind for actually reCasting those powerful creatures with "cast only" triggers.

A card I think is super underrated is Eye of Doom. It's a 4 mana artifact and when it comes into play everyone gets to choose a permanent to put a doom counter on. With an extra two mana you can tap eye of doom to sacrifice it and destroy every card with a doom counter. Super fun political card that gives everyone a piece of the action.

Fateful showdown is a really cool card. It is a mass looter and a damage dealer. If the player casting the spell has anyway of doubling up damage then it can become very effective.

Loaming Shaman has me slightly confused. Based on how you're talking about it, is it you, the caster, who decides how many and which cards get shuffled, even if the target is an opponent? Pardon what is probably a dumb question, I'm a fairly casual player.

Doesn't seem like a dumb question to me. According to 'Gatherer' (official MTG database) the ruling is that "Loaming Shaman’s controller chooses all the targets when the ability is put on the stack." So it looks like the caster does still get to choose, even if targeting an opponent. (So then the question becomes, what happens if one or more targets become no longer valid after it's put on the stack? It doesn't say, but I'd have to guess it just continues to target all remaining valid targets... After 25 years, this game is starting to get a little complicated, lol.)

I play it in yuriko and its pretty decent. The discard isn't so bad since you draw a card with yuriko anyways. For evasion I like it better than equipments since yuriko leaves the battlefield a lot and you never have to pay equip costs with the key.
