We were lucky enough to hire a 6ton ramp for this job from www.customcamperswales.com/ The gas tank is from Gas It and the water tanks from tank.me #Campervan #Vanlife #GasIt

Hello hello - just checking a couple of things. Nice the fill pipe is protected but the moplin forces you to use non-reg fittings (zip ties instead of P clips). What do you think about this and the placement of the regulator? (i.e. more vulnerable than tucked up behind tank) Is it worth building a shield or housing for it if offset like in this install or trying to fit behind the tank where pos? Thanks a lot

Can you kindly share the dimensions of the two waste tanks (HxLxW) and capacity. thank you

Yeah, there's a reason why such a huge amount of motorhomes and van conversions are done on the Ducato - no drive axle under there to get in the way. I don't like front wheel drive but that's a nice benefit.

I'm fitting my gas tank at the moment and this has been very helpful. One question, I'm told by Gasit North Wales that I'm not allowed to fit my filler cap under 500mm from an opening. The one you show is closer than that and it must be ok. Can you enlighten me please.

Excellent work ,perhaps you can do a video of the interior too as how you will finish the accommodation, do you have a contact for your tanks , gas and water ?

Can highly recommend the Barratt tanks. Got mine from Sean and he did a cracking job. All the bits needed for the install and he talked me through the various options and where I wanted the outlets. Very friendly and helpful. A bit more expensive than ready made solutions but well worth it.

How are your clearances between the fill pipe and the exhaust pipe? I’m finding I can’t meet the correct clearances there because the exhaust pipe is mounted only 6cm away from the chassis rails

Is this a l3 h2? Would you mind sharing which size tanks/ where you got the tanks from?

What size of van is it?

You covered one of the rear jacking points with water lines so changing a flat tire is going to be a lot harder now.
@happysurfcamper2 жыл бұрын
Rear prefer to use the jack under the flat squire axle anyway with a piece of wood or buy a oil filled jack and throw the worthless Ducato jack

Great to see this, I was wondering how much clearance have you lost under the van and what is the total depth of the water tanks and brackets? Looking at fitting mine at the moment and getting nervous about losing ground clearance but it seems comparable to what you've done here!! Thanks in advance

Can tell you having installed that the lowest hanging tank is the diesel, albeit further up the van so not smack in the middle like the gas is. Depth is very slightly lower than the exhaust.

Hi. I notice that you have installed the LPG filler in the B Post. Was this straightforward? I presume that you removed the internal trim on the B post to provide the necessary access etc... ? Thanks

Hi, did you ever figure this out? I am about to install the same gas tank on the same model van, but there is an electrical fuse box in the bottom of the pillar. I'm wondering if there's enough room behind it?
@jstucks99282 жыл бұрын
@@ellze17 did you manage this?
@ellze17 Жыл бұрын
@@jstucks9928 Yes, we had to take some bits of trim out and it was a bit of a squeeze but we managed to get the fill point in the same position they have it in this video.

what size tank is this ?
@TopherGriffin4 жыл бұрын
not sure, but I think the water tanks are 250L each, and the gas is 100-125L... 250L water would last 2 eco people 1 week, gas could last maybe 125hrs if used for water heating, cooking and general heating
@bexnut3 жыл бұрын
@@TopherGriffin Fresh tank is no more than 82L if this is a standard LWB model.
