In this lesson, we will learn about quadrilaterals, which are four sided shapes in geometry. Specifically, we will learn about the trapezoid, which is a quadrilateral with only two parallel sides. Next, we will learn about the parallelogram, which has two pairs of parallel sides. Next is the Rhombus, which is a parallelogram in which all of the sides have equal length. Next, we have the rectangle, which is a parallelogram where there are four ninety degree angles - one in each corner. A square is simply then a rectangle where all sides have equal length. Finally, a kite is a quadrilateral where two pairs of sides have equal length. We will explore each of these quadrilateral shapes by solving problems and classifying each of these quadrilaterals in turn.

You've been tremendously amazing Jason, I watched through your Java lessons on youtube, and just bought the course so I can take it on fully, had a quick question, I'm certain the lessons will be the practice I'm looking for, but would you recommend taking notes still as well? May be a common sense question, huge thanks in advance!

I think taking light notes is a good idea but DON'T be writing all of the time. Maybe just a line here and there showing the general format of what I am doing. You will learn through watching much faster than if you are writing all the time. Having said that, writing light notes to refresh your memory is a good idea. Thank you! Jason

Hello sir, thank you for your great work. But can you please make lessons on Thermodynamic, Engineering Mathematics,Applied electricity Engineering technology , mechanics and others. A lesson on topics under the mentioned courses will help most of the undergraduate engineers too as well. Looking forward to seeing that. THANK YOU

I enjoyed your lesson. However, I have one question/recommendation. Why don't you use the word OBLONG to define a Rectangle whose length and width are not equal? This allows one to differentiate between a SQUARE and an OBLONG. When the word RECTANGLE is used, it is not clear whether you are referring to a SQUARE or an OBLONG.

Thank you, Jason and the Math & Science Team for posting these videos. As an adult life-time learner, I really enjoy your thorough teaching. Whether it's refreshing old concepts or learning new material, I appreciate all the effort. I started out with the TI-89 Tutorial DVD's and hope to acquire the complete library.
