A PICOTT question is a structured framework used in evidence-based medicine to formulate clear, focused clinical research questions. It stands for Population/Patient/Problem (P), Intervention (I), Control (C), Outcome (O), Type of Question (T), and Type of Study (T). This method helps clinicians and researchers specify the patient group, the intervention being tested, the control or comparison group, the outcomes to be measured, the nature of the clinical question, and the best study design to answer the question, ensuring a comprehensive and systematic approach to clinical research.
