As guitar players we may experience many problems when we play with chord progressions:
- We may not understand how the chords 'connect' with each other
- We may not understand why chords follow each other in that particular order
- If we are writing a melody or improvising a lead, we may not understand what notes work on them and what are our options for melodic lines
These seem to be three completely unrelated problems, and yet the solution is the same - and we are going to see it in today's video.
If you ever were confused by anything in a chord progression, then this video will give you a new tool to understand and work with chord progressions
To really understand chord progressions once and for all and be able to make your guitar sound wonderful with lush and sophisticated chords, look no further than the COMPLETE CHORD MASTERY COURSE: www.musictheoryforguitar.com/...

You just explained in less than 10 minutes, what I've been trying for the last several years to get a handle on. That was an absolutely excellent, clear, cogent explanation. I'm going to start the process of writing out the chord tones in a progression today. This will have to enhance almost everything about my playing. Thanks so much. I may just have to take your Chord Mastery course.

Great to see this simple form of notation too (notation being something I have never really utilised in any form). And I love that you chose Am/Fm -- one of my favourite starting points for messing around. Brilliant stuff Mr Zillio, keep it coming!
