This constipation pain feels deadly. Pain in both lower abdomen and lower back. It’s painful to sit, walk and stand.

I have tried the usual methods to relive constipation such as eating different types of fiber, eating prunes, drinking sufficient amounts of water, drinking coffee and herbal teas, exercise, but to no avail. Until I read an article by this lady online who had the same problem and she mentioned that we basically lacked 2 minerals, which are Magnesium and vitamin C. You have to take both of them together. I take 2 tablets of Magnesium, 500 Mg. each with 2 tablets of vitamin C, 1000Mg. each, and the magic of relief from constipation starts to happen. You start feeling the urge to go after a few hours and then eventually relieve yourself. It really works.

Thanks for this information. Most gastrointerologists just say take fiber, they have no idea and never discuss this. I always say GI docs are not constipated, which any constipation patient can tell by the things they say. This info about acid/alkaline is helpful.

Which minerals is needed to make stomach acid?
@KickItNaturally Жыл бұрын
Chloride and zinc are big players there, but when minerals are low in general (Uusually due to poor digestion), it can make it hard for the body to do all the things it needs to do.

Thanks a lot! But how do you deal with constipation and low stomach acid along with an ulcer? Then acid supplementation would be undesirable I guess. What’s the alternative?
@kristinastevens5095 ай бұрын
You're right. My ulcer led me to dr. Berg channel. Heal the ulcer before acidifying the stomach. Briefly - dies is very limited until the ulcer heals. Think cabbage, broccoli sprouts, and organic, grass-fed beef (for the nutrients i.e. zinc carnosine).

HI Stephanie, I can't give specific advice like that here. But your best bet could be to go through our totally free digestion course because that will walk you through figuring out which aspects of digestion are not working correctly and what steps will help you the most. It could be more than just low HCL causing your constipation, or you could have a bacterial overgrowth reducing the acidify of the stomach. What if the cause of acid and constipation is due to buprenorphine/suboxone? I was prescribed it for anxiety 10 years ago, I take 6MG a day versus the 32mg a day that I was prescribed and I’ve never once have taken more than 6mg a day. I cut it into 3-2mg strips and take 2mg, 3 times a day. Anyways, I’m Autistic and so the stomach acid has already been insane, then the meds made the acid worse and the constipation worse. I’ve seen multiple docs and they’ve all disregarded anything I did, told me to take Prilosec and drink alot of water. 10 years I’ve been trying to figure this shat out and I’m now at a place where I’m scared for my life because my symptoms are INSANE ALL over my body. I’m 35, healthy, eat healthily, work outside and stay active, don’t drink alcohol or do drugs or smoke or dip, etc. Not sure what to do. Have a colonoscopy and endoscopy scheduled but they’re a month away

Bundle up and get to enjoy hiking in nature. I got all the warm stuff- good lined hiking boots, merino wool base layer, snow pants, a warm hat, ski gloves . I read hiking gear articles on what to wear. I am warm. I also got a fur scarf from a thrift shop. It's so warm and soft. Start walking and you will be warm. Now you have a year round activity that's free and accessible any where any time and you see animals, get fresh air and sun. Sleep better stay lean, strengthen your bones, so many benefits! It's fun too! I would go exploring. I drive around keep my eyes open for stands of trees and interesting looking places to explore. It's an adventure! I found nature preserves, cemeteries, woods, trails, abandoned buildings, abandoned insane asylum! I see deer all the time. I see raccoons, birds, squirrels, poor abandoned cats- I feed, make friends. In the city- I found the insane asylum and the nature preserve in the middle of stores and apartments. It's small but secluded enough to have lots of deer. Look up trails near me on Google. Look up cemeteries near me- fascinating places, bottle dumps, I found old antique bottles, an antique Wicker Baby Carriage, mica rocks that sparkle, really cool pieces of bark and wood, I use for decor. It's so fun. In summer I wear hiking sandals - chaos. I've had 4 years and still 👍 great. Or ride bike around a pretty town, that's fun too but you need weight bearing exercise for strengthening your bones
