Is the range for ICE cars constant because the engine is burning the same amount of fuel whether it needs the horsepower or not, or is the MPG just reported as a constant, when it actually depends on terrain and temperature? Actually, most ICE vehicles report MPG, not range. I had to check my car's info center to find out it had 450 miles of range. Although I could have calculated it from the size of the tank.
