Counterpoint: the offset doesn’t matter unless you’re doing some specialized type of competition precision shooting. Zero your optic at 25 yards and don’t worry about the offset- your hits will be close enough- good enough for a USPSA A zone and any defensive use case. Just put the dot where you want to hit and pull the trigger.

So, just to understand, they can't replace a Scope with a "Christmas Tree" optic I can use for holdover over a wide range of distances? In that respect a Red Dot is an alternative to Iron Sights and you need to guestimate holdover?
