A SUPERB presentation! I had always thought jadeite was found only in Burma and Guatamalla! What a surprise! The young lady gave a FIRST RATE breakdown of the mineralogical specifics of jadeite and nephrite. Her explanation of jade treatment was the BEST I have ever heard. I was in the jadeite business for 15yrs, and it took me a long time to understand everything you covered in this video. My compliments!

Wow, what a time to be alive! When one can search "jade petrogenesis" and be confronted with an hour of true knowledge about this magnificent stone... Thank you Dr Harlow, Holly, and Natalie. I started out mining for gold, but it seems more and more clear that I've found locality #17 to add to that list. The information about the relation between thrust faulting, fluid movement, and obduction of jadeite was eye opening.
