hello, I know this is and old video but I would like to know if it is really necessary to do something about the electrical wiring, as in my home, I always get the red light on any outlet.., and just recently, I bought a little house, which was renovated changing all the walls and ceiling and rewiring completely,.. and when I plugged in the APC on the brand new recently installed outlets , the red light came in on all of them.., so, I let know the technician about it and He told me He has always done the wiring the same way on any other project He has had and does not know why this product is showing that red light, please may you help me how to tell Him this could be risky or is not, actually ?

The light is usually off when I plug it in at my aunts house but when I unplug it, I pull on it and it starts to fade on for some reason, like the outlet is a little bit loose and slightly folding the plug and the outlet makes it go on but it like just barely fades on and I have no idea why. Also one time I plugged it in and it was just on for some reason on the same outlet that it's usually not on on

My entire home has a wiring fault, and the home was built in 1905. My dad's and electrician and said don't worry about it lol, he wired this house and said it was fine, but that was back in thr 70's when he did a rewire and expansion. He probably should get a second opinion as he's 84 years old and standards have changed.

Anthony Reyes I checked mine and I found out ground wire was corroded and the plug wiring was opposite, made the corrections and turn it on. Boom no red light anymore, felt more safe at my desk 😌

I have an 11 outlet APC surgearrest protector. Just moved into a new apartment and any outlet in my room it comes on. Works fine. Wondering if I should risk it or not. I’ll cut it off when I’m not home. I don’t think any electricians are available with my apartments.

I currenlty own two APC 1500 and one has the red light but the other does not. I've moved the UPS to another room and the red light still on. This product when purchased was not new. I'm assuming is a bad product. Any advise?

My BR1350MS has this light turn dull red when plugged into the wall. Hard to see unless you look directly at it. Definitely not as bright as in the video. Other APC surge protectors with ground lights show there is no issue (light is solid green to indicate no problem on the APC surge protector when put into same outlet).

For some reason at my aunts house, the outlet is loose and when I tilt and wiggle it around, it makes the light fade on a little bit like 30% on, and one time it just fully came on

My UPS BR1500M2-LM It was almost destroyed because I didn't pay attention to the red light, I almost lost my desktop computer. Repairing it cost me 50% of the cost of the UPS (there are no APC workshops in my area) to have it repaired. I had already repaired it before with the warranty in the store where I bought it (That time it didn't cost me much or anything). After that: I realized that most of my house has electrical faults.

So I'd love your thought on this: I am in an RV. I rented a hotel room to charge up all of my devices & brought my APC in because it was on a shelf for 4 months. I plugged-in everything in fell asleep& woke up to a call I was late checking out BECUZ my alarm never went off. The hotel had an electrical problem that night and not rooms in the back had electric while I slept 9 hours! When I checked out they had 2 electricians vans there. My regular battery pack for my phones and tablet was at 11% So the electric charged from their one outlet for that long, everything else was dead. When I checked all of my devices as I packed up, the APC light "Building Wiring Fault" was on. The next chance I had to plug in my APC the siren went off. Now I've plugged-in it in for 28hrs and the siren is STILL GOING OFF. Could something at that hotel have ? ruined my battery for the APC? Or the APC itself? In your opinion, what happened ?

This is absolutely CRAZY????!!! Maybe your APC thing fried the entire buildings wiring system when you plugged it in and they had to call the electric people. Who knows but this is crazy

My new 1100 never worked from the day I bought it. First it was F02 error so I changed the new batteries and nothing changed. At one time I smelled smoke coming from it and unplugged it. Now a few years later I dismantled the machine and see no “apparent” damage. I plug it in now and the building wiring fault light comes on. Funny as I have a pro 1000 hooked into the same outlet and it works fine. Very frustrating especially when the sales people told me this would run a true sine wave but that also proved to be BS. I live in Panama and trying to return an item for warranty or fault is like trying to push an egg back into a chicken.

Hi Schneider Electric your 3KVA SRC3KUXI flashes false red light and show error Site Wiring Fault daily twice. even after replacement it flashes false red light and show error Site Wiring Fault. Input voltage - Line and Neutral - 235 volts, Line and Ground - 235 volts, neutral and ground - 0 volts. no loose connect whatever. then why it's illuminate red light daily twice every 8 to 12 hours once.

Please do not use that style of text slide in. It makes the information more difficult to read. Also, please consider using a thumbnail with an abbreviated text summary; the three causes, and recommended solution. It would save people 2 minutes.

I came to this video to see if there was an answer to my situation. This Site Fault light comes on intermittently when I am rendering with high settings on my render... The APC will click then give a loud Beeep.. I just thought the APC was getting overloaded with power but not too much.. just bringing up to the limit.. well I looked at the back while the beeping was going on and saw this red light coming on during the beep and then going away... so this video doesnt really help because the red light doesnt stay on... it just comes on when there is a intense load from the GPUs in my computer drawing power from the UPS.. there will be strong CLICK, BEEEP, and I see the red light turn on for a moment the go off as the beep goes off... and it does it in a long cycle as my GPUS are underload... click beep..... rendering rendering rendering.... 15 seconds.... click beeep.....rendering rendering rendering rendering.... WHen I set the render settings on something really hard that pushes them the APC will cut the power offf and my computer shuts down completely...

since I saw the fault light on and looked it up... I didnt know what the problem was so I checked the power cable connection to the outlet in the wall... and I did notice that it was pulled out a little bit as if the cable had been tugged on.. it was enough for me to see the metal of the prongs... so maybe that was the site fault... its not beeping now that I pushed it back in all the way... but its still clicking..when I render.. maybe thats normal...

@@schneiderelectric From other forums I took a guess that my 1500 was right on the edge of overloading the UPS.. So I bought the next version 3000RMU and that stopped my machine from shutting down and I dont see a redlight or beeping... I do hear some clicking as it renders... i lowered the sensitivity.. may have to go to the low settings... but overall much better now..Thanks I will check in with the CS if this clicking doesnt change!

What a load of BS. I have had all sorts of sensitive electronic equipment connected to this out with never getting this indication. Not only that I have disconnected this unit from this location and tested using it at other outlets not on the same circuit. It is YOUR unit that is faulty. To provide confidence I measure the voltage coming out of each outlet I used and the surge and battery outlets on the unit All were reading within normal ranges I just bought this BN600U1 yesterday and will return it tomorrow
