Hi can i put a diplexer on from a new S6 decoder to a old 3U decoder?

Yes , you need to put a diplexer on a S6 to connect it to an old 3U decoder, however it won't work through a smart LNB, so you need to make sure that the unit runs from the diplexer through to the RF in or RF out of the 3u decoder as the heartbeat will not loop through a twin LNB

Good morning, please how do I achieve an extra view heart beat if my primary decoder is an old decoder with RF in and RF and my secondary decoder is an explora decoder

If the two decoders are connected to a SMART LNB a SMC1 diplexer is connected between the RF in and the SAT input of the old decoder (Explora 1 etc.) and the combined output of the diplexer is connected to the SMART LNB - heartbeat flows through the SMART LNB.

Hi. I have to new decoders connected to their separate dishes. Can i put a diplexer to each end of the Model 6U decoders to get a heartbeat?

Yes.

I have seen installers cut this part and use a Normal T piece for the heartbeat on the setup. Cutting costs.

no mate, that was with decoders that had rf ports, you cant replace this with a t piece as it wont even work

@@bosvark4x4adventures oh yes. You are right. I remember going on a job site and seeing the installer doing that on a 4U/4S Single view decoder. After that they started using the 5u/5s Single view decoders rubbish decision they made. Personally that heartbeat is just a limitation for the customer to prevent the decoders out of the property. Shame they can't do the same for dstv now. Eventually someone is going to discover how to bypass the heartbeat using the internet as the physical cable between the primary and secondary in different locations. It's just a matter of time.

Can a splitter used for two different T Vs, utilize different channels or do they T Vs play the same thing on each one?
@SpaceTelevisionSA4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jeannie, That would depend on the splitter and what is being split. If HDHI is being split both TV’s will by default display what is coming from the single source. If RF (coax) is split both TV’s will have access to whatever channels are in the system. If there is only a single decoder output that is being split, both TV’s will once again watch the same channel but if the outputs of more than one decoder is combined different channels can be watched

Can the diplexers be used as modulator. For newer 8s Decoder to transmit RF out signal?
