Understanding the Context of an Organization

In section 4 of the ISO55001 we are asked to consider the context of the organization. Every organization is different. A hospital will operate in a completely different context to that of a bus company. A Naval fleet will operate in a different context to ferry company and so on. Quite often in change, there is a temptation to jump in and start a change journey with assumptions. ISO section 4 is the most useful section for anyone in change because it takes us back to the Why we are here.
