Excellent discussion on a dog's mind and its motivations. Any effective trainer has to understand this. An owner who wants to achieve true companionship with their dog has to understand this. Thank you

Educational. Insightful and very much needed. Not everyone can or should be a parent or dog parent!

Personally, I've found dogs to mirror their master. They take on your personality. When I adopted my Labradoodle, she lived with a sickly, elderly woman. She acted like a little old lady. Now, she comes in my home office every day, greets the tenants, delivery drivers etc. and is happy to see them all. She loves to go to the apartment building with me, she knows who lives in what apartment and even people who don't like dogs love Miriah (she is nine :-). She loves it when I call her pupadoodle because she knows it's a term of endearment. She knows she's in trouble when I call her S#ithead. lol I live alone, 77 years old and having a pet is wonderful for older people, especially when they live alone. I have a dog door and a privacy fence, she can come in and out as she pleases and that makes it just about as easy as it gets. She goes everywhere with me, and would much rather wait in the car than be left behind. Labradoodles have a double coat (just like a lab) so the cold is seldom a problem, but I have to be very careful taking her with me in the summer. I've had both poodles and labs, both are wonderful pets, but having a labradoodle is the best of both worlds. Bonus; she doesn't shed. She's truly an amazing, smart and wonderful companion !

Come on let's be honest here. These two are "knockin boots" and they could be starring in a James Bond movie soon!

Disappointed that in all the credible, scientific dog experts out there, Larry King's staff had these 3 on.
