Thanks for clearing up the lies on the stat cards! Kind of amazed they didn't catch that motion accuracy bug before they went live with the patch. They need to give helos the evasive maneuvers buff at high vet too! Also I think if you look at how many points you get in a game and total up what your units cost, you can afford to upvet most of your deck to trained at least. It's wasteful to downvet everything and end games with a ton of units left unpurchased. There may be some cases where you want to take a mix of veteran and green units for some categories too. If you build your decks on WarYes and keep your point budget to around 14k or so, you can fine-tune unit veterancy to get the most out of them. Dividing a deck's units up using the combat groups menu can help visualize a plan for using it, too.

In regards to artillery fire rate; It does seem like the shots seem to come out at same speed during salvo but the reload rate between the salvos is where the veterancy bonuses kick in apparently, so a higher ranked unit is ready to shoot the next salvo much faster.

I don't think this was mentioned but I think the fire rate of the nato non-autoloading tanks is also a key effect of ranking up, especially with the smaller calibre tanks it really helps. Note this is less relevant with autoloaders as they shouldn't change

Yes this is indeed true! It certainly helps in a firefight, though not all tanks can achieve over 10. Two things I always consider with ranking up tanks, is what are they for and how fast do they die. M48 is a one hit kill in most situations so I would never rank it up. It's there for supporting fire. The likes of an M1A1 and T80BV my priority is ranking to at least trained (one chevron) for the cohesion/stress bonuses. Anything else is just a nice bonus, people really underestimate how important cohesion is. But I would never vet to a point I risk running out of tanks in a match.

I actually really like the new system. Infantry feels much more like what it was in WGRD. I think vehicles need a damage or accuracy nerf against inf in buildings but a suppression buff.

I've found ranking up NATO tanks to veteran in tank decks can be very useful because of the boosted fire rate. Veteran M1A1s shred.

Yes you are correct this is also a benefit of vetting the tanks and very nice. I just always prioritise cohesion first and consider everything else a bonus :)

I don’t like the new vet system. I’ve given it a fair shot and played a good amount of games but… everything just feels off. Rangers with abysmal call ins as you vet up feels so bad playing an infantry deck, just for a dragon? Just feels bad, guess I’ll table WARNO for a bit until some more stuff gets adjusted. Until stat cards can establish some kind of ACCURATE true baseline, it’s all just guesswork and throwing numbers around. It doesn’t feel good to play. Just my noob, unasked-for opinion.

If they were previously unranked(what is now Green) then they will be slightly better but obviously they are still M48s, so I wouldn't expect the world from them.

can you imagine shooting those ATGMs on the move? :D not even in warthunder heh the aiming time might actually ensure the suitability of the missile carrier (along with the much needed stealth boost), I usually see them killed before the missile even gets to the target, so getting them off sooner should give them a chance to remain hidden and survive. Upvetting tanks seem to make sense based on what the default values are - your top tier vehicles are already plenty of accurate enough, so the boost isnt that important. But some of the lower tier could benefit greatly from this. I would love to see increased lethality on snipers - if they hit, they should kill - simple as. AA simply needs a proper rework. Missiles should cause massive suppression (yes, even AoE suppression) and frankly also an increase in lethality (id love to see the helicopter that survives a direct missile hit..) I like the evasive maneuvers idea though - in a way it makes no sense, as the aircraft in warno dont really pull any maneuvers (so the idea of your jet bomber evading a BUK is kind of a "yeah, sure.. lol") but i still like the idea at least. If it were combined with AA lethality increase, it would make sense imo...

Yeah the decreased time to aim for ATGM's is a nice change, I am still debating with myself if its far enough when considering the availability drop. I would say, Tank vetting is not at all about accuracy its about cohesion, top end tanks if left at "green" will go to low cohesion very quickly which puts them out of the fight for a long time. Cohesion is overlooked a lot more than it should be, it costs people a lot of games and heavy tanks. (Lol totally logged into the wrong account but you know!)

@@Bandanner fair enough, but the tank tactics are a bit weird in Warno as is, and you pretty much end up creating blobs of units anyway. Just yesterday we were debating if it would be possible to implement the surrender mechanic from SD2, where if your units are suppressed enough, they will surrender (if no unsuppressed unit or leader is nearby) to close enemy units. Mind, this would be easier said than done, not to mention that what remains of WG community would likely get a stroke .. again.. but it might be interesting to see how would warno behave and change with this mechanic

So your telling me that when i throw a command unit in the middle of my arty units there fore increasing vet lvl and my disperaion circle gets smaller that im just imagining it? No arty gets accuracy, its just not accuracy as much as that much smaller dispersion circle.

In WARNO? You are either imagining it OR you are aiming where recon can see the area which gives them a corrected shot. But that has nothing to do with vet level. The only dispersion changes are for mortars and based on range of shot.

Paying with availability vs points is stupid. The wholeconcept of availability is bad because it limits game sizes...rather than this it should be a staggering cooldown or something.
