Haha you mean the Division I hate most in the world? :P (I really hate the T72... I dunno why I just do haha). Not sure I could do a ranked deck for 7th but I will think about how to do a team build and speak to someone who plays it a bit more first. Might not be the next video but I will do it soon.

maybe switch the transport for one of the regular motostrelki from Gaz-66 to BTR? infantry would appreciate an extra HMG for just 10 points extra

You can sell the gaz trucks for 20 points refund and put it toward other units aswell

So in other divisions I would consider that but here the aim is BMP spam and assaulting mainly with the troops in the BMPs. The regular motostrelki are to fill gaps as a cheap option. So because of that I prefer the Gaz so I can sell it. With all troops hopefully being supported by BMP2s and 3s.

Usually I'm telling people to upvet stuff more but here I think you can get away with less veterancy, your tanks have autoloaders and your BMP-3s have good accuracy on their ATGMs anyway, you could take them green and free up slots for more support units. You're spending all your spare activation points filling all your tank slots with upvetted T-80s and that seems to be the trend with 39th but even with maximum effort your tank force is still not as high quality as an actual armored division's. I think this potentially leaves you very vulnerable to 20+ FAV tanks, the only things you have that can do more than 1 damage to them from the front are 3 aircraft, and AA has gotten much deadlier in this patch, I'm not sure you can rely entirely on your LGBs to take out stuff like T-80UDs or Challengers like you could in the last patch. You could try to just outnumber them and try to force sideshots, and your BMPs would help with this, but in that case you'd probably want a swarm of downvetted T-62s instead of upvetted T-80s. Especially the T-80Bs, their front armor is as bad as your T-62s' but they cost 50-80 points more.

On this deck I would have to disagree with your notes. Upvetting the tanks is for the cohesion benefits NOT accuracy etc. If you lose the cohesion your tanks out the fight already and at base vet for 10 mins. BMP3's same reason plus for the infantry. I thought I explained that in the video perhaps I forgot! The idea is numbers and swarming as I explained at the start, T80s supported by BMP spam for multi angled attacks where possible. T62s are only useful close range and don't fit the outline I set out for the deck at the start of the video :)

@@BandannersRTS what I meant by bringing up the autoloader was that with late Soviet tanks you don't have to worry as much about losing cohesion in a protracted fight because your fire rate will stay high even on low vet. Especially if you're the side with the cheaper & more numerous tanks. You have to make sure to upvet tanks like Challengers that you can expect will survive a lot of hits and still keep fighting because it can be decisive if they lose cohesion fire rate falls off, but a T-80B can only survive approximately one hit from a decent tank or ATGM, and even if it does lose cohesion somehow and survive, it'll still have the same fire rate due to the autoloader. And similarly a BMP-3 and a 7 man infantry squad are also likely to be dead before cohesion becomes a factor if they come under significant fire. I think it depends on your playstyle - I'd suggest testing out lowering the vet if you find yourself running out of tanks or wanting to drop a card of them to mix in other units, and see if the veterancy makes a difference with how you use them. It's not really numbers and swarming if you're taking your most expensive tanks and upvetting them. 119th can bring almost as many upvetted T-80Us and UDs as you've got Bs and BVs and that sounds like a real nightmare, that's why I was suggesting raising the tank/IFV count even further. Also the T-62Ms and MVs in 39th have Bastions which are generally better at long range than the T-80s' Kobras - faster, longer range, more accurate, works with your BMP-3s that have the same missile. They're not as good in long range gun combat against tanks with enough armor to shrug off their ATGMs, but T-80Bs would also be helpless against heavy tanks in long range gun combat, I think you really want to avoid engaging at that range with 39th altogether unless it's against even worse tanks than yours.
