understanding the VENUS IN 8TH HOUSE synastry overlay 🖤 || december astro challenge: day 29 ❤️

the 8th house deals with lack, and that’s exactly what comes up in the VENUS IN THE 8TH HOUSE synastry overlay. I say the house person in the video, but really it could be either party who feels like they have to hide the “ugliest” parts of them, their shadow side, in order to feel worthy of the other’s presence. for this overlay to see its greatest potential, both parties have to be secure and mature. they have to be honest, they have to know their value, and not judge themselves. they have to love themselves. if self-love is lacking here, this overlay can bring your shadow side to the forefront, and before you know it, you’re acting and doing things completely out of character, all to live up to an image or standard that you feel you need to have with this person. it can be so difficult, but it’s up to your discernment to see whether this is a toxic alignment and you need to walk away, or if these triggers are being handled healthily and if you are open and able to hold each other throughout.
unconditional love shines through here, but it’s not either of your jobs to act as a sacrificial lamb and give all of yourself without getting anything in return. the love here can be so deep and it can be extremely hard to walk away, but the whole point, the whole lesson of this overlay is seeing what can go awry when you aren’t grounded in self-love. this overlay brings a huge catalyst into each other’s lives. what’s for sure, regardless of the outcome of this union, both parties truly do raise their standards and access a well of love so deep for themselves that it will never run dry again.

I had this overlay in mutual reception with my ex. (My sun was also in his 8H) It was knowing you love them and they’re aware but we both played games at times in trying to hide how deep it actually was for us. In the end I chose to be as upfront and honest about working on our issues. I think he feared the depth of the connection more than I did by throwing out stuff like “why would I…. I barely know you.” I called it off and started therapy again. Ofc I wanted to go back but the circumstances haven’t aligned to see it as such. Thank you for the video. I loved this so much! I am the house person in this case and I’m just getting to know my Venus. There was definite instant chemistry but he says he isn’t looking to be in a relationship now because he is working on himself. I am in the same boat, coincidentally, but was willing to give it a shot if he was into starting something. So we’ve decided to just be friends for now and, as much as the rejection does hurt, I am happy to have this incredible person in my life.

Had to make the Venus person tell the truth and end the intermittent reinforcement and hot cold insanity. I just said hey shake my hand and admit we ain’t never gonna be a real thing, and let me walk away with this closure and let’s both let go. This is a really challenging situation when only one of you has the depth to go into this. I have natal sun and Venus in my 8th and am ex bff also has her Venus in my 8 and it was a really codependent relationship at times. I wish that the manchild who had his moon and Venus in my 8th was another way but I accept the reality now, and I also apply it. By saying #byeforever

Wow this is so true. They had their venus and sun in my 8th house. They perused me first and I gave in, but I always felt like I had to hide the dark sides of myself. Things that I didn’t want to face myself, like my sexual past abuse. These were things I had buried deep within in me that I wasn’t ready to face then. They made me feel so uncomfortable and scared all the time. They were so obsessed and crazy in love though. I had nightmares when we slept together. It was truly the heaviest connection. Very triggering! (if you have unresolved buried demons). But yes I did pretend to be this perfect person to impress them… sigh.

It is so odd because he’s not abusive nor purposefully trying to trigger me if anything he’s opposite very loving and supportive but he just subconsciously triggers all this in me and i just want to run away from him as far as possible in all honestly he deeply terrifies me and i feel disturbed there’s no logical explanation to it either. I got so many physical symptoms like you and all sorts of different emotions that it feels too much to handle and overwhelming. Very much so as the 8th house person it’s hard so i can’t even begin to imagine what he feels since my absence is destroying him. I can’t live with him but can’t live without him but it’s painful being around him because it’s so intense feels like I can’t breathe 🥺 Thank you and im sorry you’re going through this to ❤️ We’ll get through it .

It is very disturbing and I ran away from him a few times in the past, I think he was deeply hurt by it. Unfortunately my person wasn’t as nice as yours though so I’m sort of glad I did to learn my own lessons. I never felt calm or relaxed around him. Hi! I’m the house person in this overlay and I feel like the roles are lowkey reversed in our situation? I feel like I’ve been very honest about who I am with him and have shared a lot of intimate details about myself without him having to ask and when he does I always answer all his questions but he’s barely opened up to me about himself although we’ve been involved for awhile now. the moon softens the pressure venus feels in the 8th on trying to be someone they’re not in order to impress, however there may also be more distance put or more shyness between interacting in any way. this distance can be due to a number of things depending on what else is going on in the chart. but no matter the distance, the connection still feels quite strong and just the mention of their name makes the other feel seduced haha
