In this video number {1203} Understanding TL431 Adjustable Reference, Theory and Practical. I explained precision voltage adjustable reference regulator. it is most commonly used in feedback loop in isolated power supplies / converters. TL431 ICs integrated circuits are 3−terminal programmable shunt regulators. These monolithic IC voltage references operate as a low temperature coefficient zener which is programmable from Vref to 36 V with two external resistors. These devices exhibit a wide operating current range of 1.0 mA to 100 mA with a typical dynamic impedance of 0.22. The characteristics of these references make them excellent replacements for zener diodes in many applications such as digital voltmeters, power supplies, and opamp circuitry. The 2.5 V reference makes it convenient to obtain a stable reference from 5.0 V logic supplies, and since the TL431, A, B operates as a shunt regulator, it can be used as either a positive or negative voltage reference.

Equivalent Full−Range Temperature Coefficient of 50 ppm/°C Typical. Temperature Compensated for Operation over Full Rated Operating Temperature Range. Low Output Noise Voltage. These are Pb−Free and Halide−Free Devices
it behaves as a comparator, comparing the VREF pin voltage to the internal virtual reference voltage. When provided a proper cathode current (IK), TL43xx will have enough open loop gain to provide a quick response.

Sir Goldstar 9500 satellite receiver has no output vcc cap and switching ic have unstable voltage 2R2 2R4 and 5R1 resisters gives continuity is it normal? thankyou

Willkommen, Bruder. Ja, du hast recht. Wir müssen präzise Widerstände mit der geringsten Toleranz verwenden. Aber da es nur eine Demonstration war, habe ich gewöhnliche Widerstände verwendet, um einen Spannungsteiler zu bauen. الله يسلمك ويسعدك

Really helpful sir. Yesterday i tried my self to increase the voltage of 12v adaptor to 15v. So i tried alter the divider point of tl431.So i used the following fomula to find the divider resistance value. =2.5×(1+R1÷R2) here R1=51k and R2=10k. so the output is 15.25v. And my output voltage is also as expected sir. My doubt is. Is it make a pulse to control the optocoupler or its just turn on the led sir. When ever i have a doubt about a specific topic, your also make video in same topic sir☺☺Thank you once again.

great you also need to change the current limit ratio with the same ratio if you increasing 12 volt to 15 volt and you are adjusting reference resistor network then the output voltage will increase in output of the TL431. which will cause to increase the optocouper LED current and it will also disturb the feedback so you need to increase the current limit resistor to decrease the LED current so the circuit will work without creating ripples or ringing in swithcing

you can increase current sense resistor at MOSFET source pin to limit primary current so the output current will reduce
