dont be a noob like me. they send u the head with the locks fully on, and i was turning it and stuff with the locks on. doesnt seem to of hurt it

You might be able to do this. Gitzo is a brand that doesn't mix well but there are other brands that will fit together. I'd recommend giving us a call at 800-289-1132 for specifics. Thank you!
