I as a 60yo I have kept of smoking for 10 years with vapes, I used the personal importation scheme with a prescription to purchase from NZ what I needed to continue to stay smoke free. The pharmacy model will not work for me as many pharmacists are refusing to stock them and the flavours available are not to my taste. The flavours tobacco, mint and menthol are the least favoured by adult vapers. This leaves me & most adult vapers two choices, support the ever growing black market and purchase unregulated vapes or go back to smoking which are still available everywhere both legally and illegally everywhere. This policy will and has already failed consumers.

Vaping was the only successful method for me to stop a 35yo smoking habit I tried everything else.

Exactly right I couldn't agree more as a 42 year-old and only one of two family members still alive. All the rest of succumb to both lung cancer and heart disease. I can't make any sense of why we're going down this path. We are talking about a product that is literally 95 to 96% healthier than smoking the benefits to our medical system alone and the amount of money. The average citizen will save on their taxes and the amount of surgeons that it will free up in our hospitals is just the tip of the iceberg and yes I agree it is doomed to failure. I have no intention of going to the pharmacy model and I will continue to deal with the Black market as I have no other choice. I am not going to die the same way my family members did just satisfy a few Karen's and hover parents period maybe if these parents spend a bit more time bringing their kids up they wouldn't be out there stealing from peoples homes and breaking and entering so personally I don't give a shit what parents think and if I have to break the law to do it and so be it stay healthier Australia and do what you need to do after all the politicians aren't going to be mourning you when you pass away your friends and family will
