Also one other tip about vision, that i wish i knew before. When you use targetted spells (it works on most spells, if not all) on heroes (like CM's frosbite for eg), the enemy gain vision of the caster

As a low immortal player, these types of videos are a really good memory refresher and you can often learn new things or get reminded to do a good habit. I for one definitely didnt do the wards with smoke habit at night as much (I usually do it intuitively but only a few times) so watching this now reminded me to do it constantly. Thanks for the videos!

You forgot about being smoked with vision and the smoke breaks so it's wise to plant a sentry or use dust or true sight abilities. Next one is, might be complicated but during smoke, planting any ward can have a chance to give away your smoke since that spot you planted your ward might have a sentry + obs. So what i always do is sentry first so at least youd have a second to judge if planting an obs there is worth. Otherwise plant it outside the sentry range. Still gives out the smoke though, since the enemy sees someone planted a sentry there.
@robinv1485
@robinv1485 Жыл бұрын
it's never worth to sentry first in that situation because you want to get the jump on the opponent. The faster you do that the most likely the smoke is to be successful. If you place a ward it takes you miliseconds to reach the opponent with a blink initiation or even certain spells. It's the same time it takes for the opponent to see the ward on the minimap, and that's if he's looking, so he will not be able to react regardless. But if you place a sentry and then take time to make the decision to observer? Now you're giving that all up. Cause he will see the sentry, have time to think about it since well, you're doing the same, and then reach the conclusion right when you're placing the observer, effectively letting him dodge stuff such as blinks. Not to mention chances are your sentry will not give you vision of the enemy sentry at night time, you have to walk around most likely.

Do you think rushing gem is a viable strat?
@BaufenBeast
@BaufenBeast 2 жыл бұрын
Depending on the enemy draft, maybe. If they're really good at pickoffs, rushing gem is dangerous because you could just die for an 1800 gold swing. Usually, you'll want some kind of escape item first. If I'm playing Pangolier against a team I want a gem for (lots of invis heroes), I'll get my roll up shard first so I can only die to a very focused gank.

i know this sounds cliche...but...the cornerstone of mastering a system is understanding the fundamentals. Ask questions like WHY is this thing the way it is...instead of just doing it because that's what you do. Like this...the 3 finger stance in american football. The linemen bend over and put three fingers on the ground to ready for scrimmage as a simple fundamental. if you just bend over and put three fingers on the ground because every other guy is then you will get ran over. What you need to understand about the fundamental of this stance is not to just bend over...you have to straighten your lower back and stick your butt out, clench your ass cheeks and stiffen your calves at your tiptoes, and when QB says HIKE, you explode off the line like a cannon. That dude has excellent interpretation of how people learn and the psychology of how to teach the micro evaluation mastery a knight must have in order to ingrain core fundamentals into their psyche. Because this game is so fast...he is teaching you how to train psychologically, not just physically... using your mind/body in order to understand core fundamentals to the point where they become instinctive. He isn't just teaching you HOW to win, he's teaching you how to BECOME a winner. Learning from a master lets you create your own style of playing... instead of being a typical KD whore that repetitively exploits broken heroes. First thing last, ask yourself....why do I want to learn this...? Go ahead...ask yourself.

I actually played Dota 2 after half year long break and it did not change a bit. Griefers all matches literally we were 2/25 in all matches at minute 10 even without my feed participation. If anyone is playing game to get better, there is no point in that as matchmaking is full of flaws. You can make an argument that I just need to get better, but that is just pure copium. Healthy game and matchmaking looks totally different, shame as game mechanics and systems are at pretty good place, guess some of the devs knows math :), also price for cosmetics is astronomical and it is like that only because few people play the game and even fewer buy stuff, which will not improve until something drastically change for casual average player. Game is not fun, tryharding every game to at least have a chance of winning is not fun and still it is not guaranteed as game will try to balance things by putting you against best player at your rating which is smurf or booster :). As one pro player (coach now) once said even for best pro players it would take long time to get from Herald to Immortal as game would not allow fast climbing. Maybe you saw some smurf episodes from some of "immortal" players, I too can go 25/0/0 and solo carry the game, but would not wish anyone what comes after, 3 or 4 smurf accounts on enemy team going godlike on accounts that just calibrated. I wrote all this to you guys who are hard trying to climb and loosing time on this game, there are games that are more fun and rewarding and actually do not **** with your precious time. Exodus from Dota has been finished. Enjoy!
