Understanding Yod Aspects In Your Astrology Chart

A yod aspect, or finger of God, is an energy of pressure and tension on one point or planet in your chart. A yod involves two quincunx planets (at 150 degrees) focusing on another planet or point. A yod shows you what can be very uncomfortable until you learn to honor the highest expressions of each planet and sign.

This is so amazing! I have two yods in my chart, and in one, the signs are *exactly* as you have them in this example chart! Three in Virgo (Sun, Venus, and Mars), one in Scorpio (Pluto,), and my North Node in Aries! I honestly can't believe just how accurate your message describes...I mean, to the *T*...the current situation I am facing. Amazing video Molly! Starting to learn aspects of my natal chart and you teach so fluidly. Scorpio Sun, Cancer Rising, and Pisces Moon in the 9th House. I have a Scorpio & Sagittarius Stellium in the 5th & 6th house respectively. I think I have two Yod’s: NN in Taurus in the 12th House at the Apex Pluto in Scorp Neptune in Sag And second Yod is Chiron in Gemini in the 11th House at the Apex, Jupiter in Cap, Sun in Scorpio.

This is amazing! The planets are different however the signs are the same as my yod! Mars and Neptune in Scorpio. Uranus, MC, Pluto in Virgo. Moon is in Aries. Thanks for taking the time to teach!!

A very helpful explanation! This example chart is very similar to my own Yod. I have the Sun and Pluto in that degree, conjunct Jupiter at a similar degree and Uranus. Neptune is the sextile, and Saturn is the focal point in Aries. Saturn is also opposite Merc/Venus/MC in Libra, and in a minor grand trine with Mars in Leo and the Moon in Cancer. Chiron is in Aries, with the North Node too. Though my house placements are different, you really spoke to me and my journey of standing in my own identity and not feeling guilty about it.

Well that makes a lot of sense to me now. I have my natal sun at 25 scorp in the 5th, sextile my natal pluto and uranus in virgo in the 3rd. Transiting uranus in aries in my 10th makes this yod aspect. For years I've been trying to get my father (10th) to listen to me (3rd) about what's really going on in the world and what's coming. I've been so frustrated because as the patriarch of this family, i feel it's his responsibility first to protect us all, but he doesn't Believe. Transiting venus in scorpio joined in, and gave me the backbone to become that "patriarchal" energy. I'm letting go of my frustration and resentment, and realizing just how dependent on him I've been... and it's very empowering! I'm preparing to buy land to accommodate my family on my own. Hopefully, I've got this. 😤🙏 is there another way to interpret that? Also, my boss always wants to know my personal business. Lol. i appreciate that you're using this woman's chart to teach us. I've a double yod facing Saturn and moon in cancer (7th house), from Mercury (11th house) and Neptune (12th house) in the top in Sag (covering 11th and 12th house) and from Venus and Jupiter in Aquarius (2nd house). Care to explain a "golden" yod in a natal? I've been doing my own research, following my intuitive understanding with energies and how they connect. However, there's not much other than hysteria and nonsense on the internet about a golden yod placement. I've been fortunate enough to be blessed with one. OMG, had a total epiphany after this video. Just realized I have an asteroid yod with Ceres and Chiron conjunct in Gemini (12th house) and inconjunct Pluto/Vesta (6th) at 5 Scorpio and Neptune (7th) at 4 Capricorn. I’m pretty sure my twin flame journey has activated this and is affecting my recent weight gain and financial instability (both of which I *thought* I had resolved as of a year ago). I've been wondering about the yod for a long time & have been frustrated learning about it. I went through a bunch of vids on Yods but yours is the first one that really goes into how to read a Yod. So thanks for that. However I'm more confused than before now cos the Apex planet is Venus and Jupiter (same degree) and they both point back to the other 2 points of the Yod (Venus as ruler of Libra and Jupiter as the ruler of Sag). So they basically bouncing off of each other. Plus the NN is right in the middle of the Sextile as an activator and the SN is conjuncting Venus and Jupiter by 2 degrees.

This is so helpful - I will watch again and apply the steps to my Yod. I've had such a hard time understanding it, because it's a Taurus Moon apex fed into by Sag. This chart is my mom's chart, except the personal planets. My mom has almost the same Yod but instead of being with Venus, it is with Saturn (Aries; conjunct Chiron and NN) - Jupiter and Pluto - Neptune.
