Undertaker is the best. The fans didn't appreciate his slow and methodical style. Based on his character he would go a slow pace, and then in an instant he could move as fast as a cat. I like that more than the constant hype. Austin was all about raising hell, and fans loved the hype, which was relatively short lived. Its around the time Undertaker returned in 2004 that the appreciation for Undertaker increased and hence his eventual RR win in 2007 and title win at Mania that year. When he cut a promo as a heel in 98 the fans would shout "boring" (because they wanted the hype Austin brought), but from 2004 they really hung on his every word, even though what he said was absurd 😅, its just the dedication and the protection of his character that made it so "real".

I started watching Wrestling around the same time as the Austin vs Undertaker first blood match at fully loaded, I think The Raw is War before that PPV was the first ever episode I Watched. From mine and my age groups perspective, the undertaker was awesome before 2004, At First I personally Hated the American Badass Gimmick, because it was my first time seeing a wrestler change gimmick, but it grew on me.. Austin on the other hand was special and at his peak really captured the The Era We Was living in at the time, I really miss entertainment based on shock value, it feels like entertainment during that period of time was some sort of social experiment..

I’ve never realized that during the first Rumbles the wrestlers didn’t have their entrance themes. I bet for some people in the crowd was difficult at times to understand which wrestler was entering in the Rumble without the music playing. The Undertaker was iconic and easy to spot, but some gimmicks were really generic
